This is the last Will and Testament of me John Edgar of Greenspond in the Island of Newfoundland Surgeon made and published this fifth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty begin of sound mind memory and understanding I give and bequeath unto my dear Wife Ann Edgar and my Friends John Thorne Oakley and George Frampton all of Greenspond aforesaid their Executors administrators and assigns All my monies of what nature or kind soever or wheresoever situated and also all my houses Goods Chattels Personal Estate and Effects whatsoever and wheresoever and of what nature or kind soever upon the Trusts herein after mentioned concerning the same that is to say Upon Trust that they my said Trustees and the survivors and survivor of them their executors and administrators do and shall pay and divide the same in equal shares and proportions unto my dear Wife Ann Edgar and to my dear Children Maria Benjamin George Louisa Caroline John and Mary Ann at such time and times and in such manner as they my said Trustees shall think fit and proper for their mutual comfort benefit and support (subject to the payment of all my just and lawful debts) and in case of the death of either of my said Wife or my said Children then I will and direct that the share of him her or them so dying shall be divided amongst the survivors share and share alike but in the event of either of them so dying with lawful Issue of his her or their body lawfully begotten then I will and direct that the share of him her or them so dying shall be paid to such Issue in the same manner as their deceased Parent or Parents would have been entitled to respectively And I hereby nominate constitute and appoint my said Wife Ann Edgar and the said John Thorne Oakley and George Frampton Executors and Executrix of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking and making void all former and other Wills by me at any time heretofore made and declaring this to be my only true last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I the said JOhn Edgar the Testator have to this my last Will and Testament contained in one sheet of paper set my hand and seal the day and year above written John Edgar LS Signed sealed published and declared by the said John Edgar the Testator as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who at his request in his presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses attesting the due execution thereof Nathl Allen Coster Frek Jenkins I hereby Certify that the foregoing two pages contain a true correct and literal Copy of the last Will and Testament of John Edgar late of Greenspond Surgeon as the same was this day proved before me by Frederick Jenkins one of the subscribing witnesses who was duly sworn upon the Holy Evangelists to certify the truth of and concerning the same and I also certify that the said Original Will of the said John Edgar has also this day been proved before me by the Executors named therein and the same is now in my custody for Registration at my Office at Harbor Grace agreeably to the 5 Geo 4 Cap 67 continued by the 10 Geo 4 Cap 17 after which Registration I shall transmit the same to the Honorable the Supreme Court in order that Probate may be granted thereon In testimony whereof I have this twenty seventh day of September one thousand eight hundred and thirty set my hand the seal of the Honorable the Northern Circuit Court John Stark Clerk and Registrar Northern Circuit Court of Newfoundland and Registrar of Deeds LS Proved at London 20th January 1832 before the Judge by the Oaths of Ann Edgar Widow the Relict John Thorne Oakley and George Frampton the Executors to whom Admon was granted being first sworn (by Commission) duly to administer
