In the name of God Amen
I Anne Clavell of Kimbridge in the Isle of Purbeck and County of Dorsett
Spinster being weake in body but in perfect mind and memory praised bee
Almighty God therefore (and revoakeing all former Wills by mee made) doe
make constitute ordaine and appoynt this to bee my last Will and Testament 
this twentie seaventh day of January in the yeare of our Lord God One Thousand six
hundred ninety and one in manner and forme following (that is to say) Imprimis
I give and bequeath my soule into the hands of Allmighty God that gave it 
trusting through the merits of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ to inheritt
Everlasting life and my body to bee buryed in the parish Church of Steple
and as for such goods as God hath blessed mee with I give and bequeath as 
followeth Item I give to the poore of the parish of Steple Twenty shillings Item 
I give to Francis Cutler five shillings to ring the Bell and make my Grave Item 
I give to my Cosen Roger Clavell of Steple the sume of Five pounds a pair of
Brass Andirons and a little Brass pann Item I give my Cosen Elizabeth Clavell
Five pounds and the Brass Buckett and stained Petticoate Item I give to my
Cosine Ruth Co??et one gold ring with a greene stone in it Item I give to my
Cosine Swaines three daughters Five shillings a peice Item I give to my Godson
Thomas Slade a plaine Gold ring with a thread tyed about it and tenn
shillings in money Item I give to my Cosine Mompasons my pestill and mortar
Item I give to my Cosine Thomas Browne Smiths Sermons and a peice of gold 
that is about my necke Item I give the widdow Bussett halfe a crowne and if 
shee happen to dye before mee then I give it to John Bussets wife Item I 
give to my sister Ruth Clavell widdow Fifty shillings and to Mary Chick 
her servant Five shillings Item I give to my Cosine Martha Clavile in
London one Downe Bedd and Bolster and two Downe Pillowes and an
Arres coverlid with things convenient to wrap it in to send to London Item 
I give to my Brother Robert Clavell one shilling Item I give to my Brother 
Roberts eldest daughter one Table cloath nine Napkins and one Towell Item 
I give to my Brother Roberts youngest daughter one Turkey workt
Carpett for a Table and to his third Daughter one Table Cloath nine
Napkins and one Towell Item I give to my Cosen Eastmond my Booke
of Marters Item I give to my Cosen Dorrell widdow one silver spoone Item 
I give to my Cosen Anne Plat one silver spoone Item I give to Elizabeth Parish
of Hurpson a new black Hood that is in my house Item I give to Ester Catrot
halfe a Crowne Item I give to my Cosin William Payer a peice of gold that the 
King gave mee Item I give to my Cosin Pykes Children Five shillings a peice 
to each of them Item I give to my Cosin Elizabeth Payer one peice of gold Item
I give to my Cosin Cullifords Four daughters to each of the tenn shillings 
Item I give to Robert Culliford Esqr John Pyke gent and to Samuell Bold


Clerke   to each of them Twenty shillings a peice and nominate them my
Trustees to see my Will performed And lastly I doe nominate and appoynt 
Martha the wife of William Says of Porchester Clerke to bee my full and whole 
Executrix of this my Last Will and Testament To whome I give all the remainder 
of my goods and chattells not otherwise disposed of Ann Clavell published and 
Declared in the prsence of us William Perkins Thomas Meader the marke of
Thomas Whilrow
