In the Name of God Amen
I Joseph Bird of the Town and County of Poole Mariner
being in good health of body and of sound and disposing
Mind and Memory thanks be therefore given to Almighty
God for it but considering the Perils and Dangers of
the Seas and other uncertainties of this present
transitory life do make and declare this my last Will
and Testament in manner following that is to say I
give devise and bequeath all my Lands Tenements
and Hereditaments whatsoever and also all my Goods
Chattels and Personal Estate whatsoever unto my
Brother Timothy Bird his heirs Executors and admors
But of my said Brother Timothy shall happen to die
before me and without Issue then and in such case I
give devise and bequeath two third parts of ^ my Goods		^ my said Lands and premises and also two third parts of
Chattels and Personal Estae unto my uncle Thomas Bird
of Poole aforesaid Hosier his Heirs Executors and Admors



and the other third part of my said Lands and Premises
and also the other third part of my Goods Chattels and
Personal Estate I give devise and bequeath unto my
Kinsman John Bird of Poole aforesaid Shopkeeper his
Heirs Executors and administrators and I do make 
and appoint my said Brother Timothy Bird Sole
Executor of this my last Will and Testament In
witness whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and
Seal the twenty first day of January in the year of our
Lord 1757  Joseph Bird  LS  Signed Sealed Published
and declared by the said Joseph Bird to be his
last Will and Testament in the presence of us who
subscribed our Names as Witnesses in his presence

This Will was proved at London the twenty
sixth day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand
seven hundred and eighty nine before the Right Worshipful
Sir William Wynne Knight Doctor of Laws Master Keeper 
or Commissary of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury
lawfully constituted by the oath of Timothy Bird the
Brother of the deceased and Sole Executor named in
the said Will to whom administration was granted of
all and singular the Goods Chattels and Credits of the
said deceased having been first sworn by Commission duly 
to administer
