In the Name of God Amen The Twenty Fyfth day of June Anno Dni
1675 I Nicholas Barnes of Litchlitt Minster in the County of Dorsett husbandman
being sick of Body but of perfect Mind and Memory Praised be God for it Doe
make and ordeine this my last Will and Testament in manner and forme
following First I give and bequeath my Soule to God my Maker through
Jesus Christ my Saviour By whose Bl??d and Righteousnes I hope to be saved
And my Body to the Earth from whence it was first taken and for my Worldly
Goods I thus dispose Item I give ^ to Dorothy Barnes Mary Barnes John 			^ and bequeath
Barnes and robert Barnes my Fower Children Each of them Twelve Pence a
peece All the rest of my Goods not gyven nor bequeathed I gyve and bequeath
to Jane my wife and Thomas Barnes my sonn whome I make and ordeine my
whole and sole Executors ioyntly together of this my last Will and Testament
and to keepe my Kinswoman Mary Mudg and to pay her the Legacy her Mother
gave her upon her last Will and Testament when it shall become due by that
Will aforesaid But my Will and Meaning is that if my wife shall any wayes
abuse or not keep my Cosen Mary Mudg in a hansome and decent manner in
Meat drink and Clothes as shee ought to be kept Then my Overseers shall take
the aforesaid Mary and place or keepe her as they shall think fitt And my wife
shall pay for her maintenance out of her Estate and I appoint and make my
uncle Richard Barnes of Kinson and William Ford of Kinson my Overseers of this my
last Will and Testament In Witnes whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and seale the
day and yeare first above written The mark of Nicholas Barnes Signed sealed and
delyvered in the presence of us William Ford The Mark of Jane Barnes

mensis Novembris Anno Dni Millesimo Sexcentesimo Septuagesimo quinto
coram venerabili viro Domino Leoline Jinkyns Milite Legum Doctoro Curia
