This is the last Will
and Testament of me Elizabeth Judith Ashby of
Wellingborough in the County of Northampton Widow
as follows that is to say First I Give and bequeth
to my son George Ashby Rector of Barrow in the
County of Suffolk what I have in the three per Cent in
his name I also Give and bequeath to my said Son
George Ashby a Prayer Book Covered with a Gold 
Enamelled Case Item I Give and bequeath to my
daughter Hannah Ashby what I have in the four per
Cent in her name Item I also Give to my said 
daughter Hannah Ashby the Sum of One Hundred
Pounds to be paid her by my Executrix hereinafter 
named Item all the rest residue and wheresoever and of 
what kind nature or sort soever the same may or do
consist of at the time of my decease and not herein 
before by me given and disposed of I Give devise and 
bequeath the same unto my daughter Mary Ashby
and to her Heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns 
for ever she paying satisfying and discharging all my
Just debts Legacies and Funeral Expences and I do also
nominate constitute and appoint my said daughter Mary
Ashby my whole and sole Executrix of this my last 
Will and Testament revoking disannulling and making 
Void all former and other Wills and Codicils by me 
at any time heretofore made declaring this to be my only
true last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I the
said Elizabeth Judith Ashby the Testatrix have to this 
my last Will and Testament set my hand and seal the 
first day of December in the year of our Lord One thousand 
seven hundred and seventy seven  Eli: Ju: Ashby  LS  Signed
Sealed Published and declared by me the said Elizabeth 
Judith Ashby the Testatrix as And for my last Will and 
Testament in the presence of us who at my request in
my presence and in the presence of each other 
have subscribed our names as Witnesses to the same Wm

This Will was Proved at London the twenty
seventh day of March in the Year of our Lord One
thousand even hundred and eighty seven before the 
Worshipful William Macham doctor of Laws Surrogate
of the right Worshipful Peter Calvert also Doctor of Laws
Master Keeper or Commissary of the Prerogative Court 
of Canterbuy lawfully constituted by the Oath of Mary
Ashby Spinster the Daughter of the deceased And sole
Executrix named in the said Will to whom Administration 
was granted of all and singular the Goods Chattels And 
Credits of the said deceased they having been first sworn
duly to Administer
