In the name of god amen the xvii th daye of Julye in the yere of or Lorde god a thousande fyve 
hundrethe fortie and fyve I Richarde Abyngdon of the towne of Bristowe haberdassher being of parfitt mynde and memory
thankes be god do make and ordeyne this my laste will and testament in manner and forme folowinge Fyrst I geve and bequeth
my soule to almyghtie god my maker and redemer and my bodye to be buried in the churche of saint marye porte at my
pewe dore before the crucifix of or Lorde god Item I geve and bequeth to the mother churche of the holly trynyte in
Brystowe three shillings foure pence Item I geve and bequeth to the parson of thechurche of saint mary porte for my
tythes necligently forgotton iii s iii d Item I will that my executrix shall fynde an honnest preste to singe for my soule and 
all xpen soules in the saide churchge of sainte mary porte for one hole yere next after my decease and she to geve to him 
for his wags and stypende six pounds thirtene shillings foure pence sterlinge Item I geve and bequethe to the saide 
wardens of the same church tenne shillings to the use and behoffe of teh same churche to pray for me amonge other good 
doors in teh same churche Item I geve and bequeth to Thomas Abyngdon my sonne a standing Cuppe of sylver with 
a cover of goblet of sylver with oute a cover and a nutt with a cover Item I geve and bequeth to Roger Abyngdon my
sonne a standinge cuppe of sylver with oute a cover a goblet of sylver with out a cover and a nutt wt acover Item I


geve and bequethe to John Abyngdon my sonne a cupp of sylver wt oute a cover a goblett of sylver with oute a cover and
a nutt with a cover Item whereupon a gr???nte hadd for the marriage betwene Thomas Abyngdon my sonne and heire
aparannt and one Mary Butler I have geven and graunted And by this my laste will I geve and graunt to the 
saide Thomas Abingdon all that my landes tenements and rentes with there apurtenncs in lylston in the countie 
of Somersett and hambroke in the countie of Glouc and all that my Landes tenements and there hereditaments
with there appurtenncs Carchanger in the countie of Somersett of and for the Joynter and preferment of the 
saide Mary in recompence and consyderaccon for the same the saide Mary and her frendes have promysedd to pay to
me the said Richard Abyngdon a hundreth and twentie poundes sterlinge Nevertheles I the saide Richarde Abyngdo
by this my laste will and testamtnet doo geve and graunte to the said Thomas Abyngdon a hundreth poundes parcell of
the saide hundreth and twentie poundes of and for the farther preferment of the saide Thomas and Mary And the
residue therof that is to saye twentie poundes I geve and bequeth to the saide Roger Abyngdon my sonne Item I geve and 
bequeth to John Abyngdon my sonne thre score poundes in monney to be paide to him by the handes of myne exr
Item I geve and bequeth to the poore prissoners of newgate in Bristowe to by woode and strawe twentie shillings for there
necessite to be paide by the handes of my executrix Item I geve and graunte to Issabell my wyffe all that my messuages
Landes tenementes meadowes leasures pastures woodes mylles courses of watur rentes revertions and pr??ces with there 
apurtennces in Compton haywaye in the countie of dorsett to have and to holde to hur durynge the naturall lyffe of the 
saide Isabell of and towarde the lyvynge and preferment of the saide Isabel And after the decease of the saide Isabell all
and singler the premisses with ther appurtenncs to remayne to the saide Thomas Abyngdon and to his heires for ever Item 
I geve and bequeth to the said John Abyngdon my sonne All that my landes tenementes Rentes revercyons and s???cs wt
there appurtenncs in Cardiff Crockerton in Wales and all that my landes tenementes rentes revercons and s???cs with 
there appurtenncs in Felton int he parishe of wynfreth als wynforde int he countie of Somersett to have and 
and to holde to the saide John Abyngdon and to his heires in fee for ever Item I geve to the saide Isabell my wyffe all that my
ryght tytle intrest and possession that I nowe have in the messuage or tenement that I at this present daye dwell in in 
Bristowe for terme of her naturall lyffe and after her decease the saide messuage or tenement with his appurtenncs 
to remayne to the saide John Abyngdon my sonne and his assignes duringe my terme of yeres in the same Item I 
geve and bequeth to the saide Roger Abingdon my sonne all that my messuage or tenement wt his appurtenncs sett and 
lyinge in saint nycholas strete in the saide towne or citie of Bristowe To have and to holde the same twoo
messuages and tenementes with there apurtenncs to the saide Roger Abyngdon and to his heires in fee for ever Also 
I geve and bequeth to the same Roger Abyngdon and to his assignes all that my right tytle and and intereste that I 
nowe have of and in a messuage or tenement with his appurtenncs sett and lyinge upon Redcliff hill and also 
the messuage or tenement lyinge at the key in bristowe aforesaide and all that my right tytle interest possession and
terme of yeres which I have to come in pickynge grove in the precynct and subburbes of the saide towne or citie of
Bristowe Item I geve and release to the said Roger my sonne all the debts that he oweth to me at this PREnt day with 
out anny reclayme to be made by myne executrix The residue of all my goodes and catalls my debtes payde and my
Funerall expenss done I wholye geve and bequeth to the saide Issabell my wyffe whome I make and ordeyne my sole 
executrix of this my last will and testament she to dispose the same after her discrecion as she shall thinke moste 
convenyent Item I make the saide Thomas Abyngdon and Roger Abyngdon my sonnes my overseers by thes pntes to
