Travel to St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada (YYT)

  • Some travellers to Canada may need to obtain an Electronic Travel Authorization, this can be done in a few minutes online and costs only $7, please see here for more details
  • This is some preliminary travel advice
  • Do not confuse St. John's, Newfoundland with Saint John, NewBrunswick. You want to travel to St. John's, Newfoundland, airport code YYT.
  • St. John's (YYT) is serviced by domestically by Air Canada (Star Alliance), Westjet, and Porter Airlines.
  • St. John's (YYT) is serviced internationally from Heathrow, Gatwick, and Dublin seasonally
  • We have selected Air Canada as the official conference airlines, they have provided a promotion code to use when booking on their website. The code is QP2U27H1 and is supposed to apply to flights 7 days pre and post conference. The code gives a 10% reduction in fares but may not apply to the lowest (Tango) fares in North America. If your flight involves a star alliance partner (Lufthansa for example) and is booked on Air Canada an Air Canada ticket then the discount should apply on the whole flight.
  • The best way to travel from the airport is via a taxi. Taxis are readily available just outside the arrivals area. A taxi from the airport to campus or downtown hotel should be available for less than $30 Canadian.
