DD25 Social Events, Banquet and Excursion Information

Banquet

All registered DD25 participants will receive a ticket to attend the conference banquet to be held during the evening of Thursday, July 26, 2018. The conference banquet will be held at The Rooms pictured above.

If you have family or friends accompanying you to St. John's and they would like to attend the banquet we will provide a link to purchase additional banquet tickets here. Additional banquet tickets are $87 CAND plus taxes.

Excursion

During the afternoon of Thursday, July 26, 2018 we have arranged an excursion to allow participants to experience a little more of St. John's and the surrounding areas. This is a great orientation of St. John's, as well as the most Easterly point in North America. You will be driven to the National Historic site of Cape Spear; where you may walk to thru a World War II gun battery, look for whales at the most Easterly point in North America, while having a chance to visit to oldest standing light house in North America. Then we will head back into the city to see the beautiful view on top of Signal Hill while hearing the historic tales of North America's oldest colony. Other stops include Quidi Vidi Village, Government House, the Roman Catholic Cathedral and an orientation of the shops and restaurants of downtown St. John's. We will also visit Petty Harbour, an inshore fishing village that remains active in the local industry. The price per person is $60.00 plus HST (15%) includes transportation, guide services, and a Newfoundland Chocolate and Port Tasting at Newman’s Wine Vaults.
