International Workshop
Format:
The
Workshop “Groups, Rings, Lie and Hopf Algebras” will be held in St. John’s,
Newfoundland, Canada, from May 28 to June 1, 2001, in Memorial University of
Newfoundland. The Arrival Days are May 26 and May 27. The Workshop will start
at 9 a.m. on Monday, May 28, and finish on Friday, June 1, in the

the Workshop.

Sudarshan Sehgal (University of Alberta) Topic will be announced later
Ivan Shestakov (University of Sao Paulo) “Superalgebras of brackets and

Financial
Support:
A limited financial support from the Organizing
Committee is available only for the graduate and senior undergraduate students,
whose participation is approved by the scientific advisor. Please e-mail your

How to Get
Here:
St.
John’s is the provincial centre of the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador,
the east most in Canada. Please do not confuse it with Saint John, the largest
city of the Province of New Brunswick (this occasionally happens to our
visitors!). There are a
number of flights to St. John’s from Halifax, Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa (Canada),
London (UK), New York and Boston (USA). For some schedules of Air Canada
flights for the days of May 26 and May 27, see the Workshop’s
Web Page. The St. John’s International Airport is only few miles from
the downtown. A taxi flat rate is about $20. We will also arrange to pick up
the participants from the most
“popular” flights. Please keep us informed about your plans!
Sight Seeing:
We
plan to arrange a tour for Whale Watching/Icebergs on Wednesday, May 30, in the afternoon. The price is
approximately $30. For those of you who want to take part, please indicate your
interest on the Registration Form.
Registration Form:
Can be found on the Workshop’s
Web Page.
