About the Conference

  • A Satellite Conference of ICM 2002 (Beijing, August 20-28)
  • Sponsored by the Ministry of Education of China, and Hunan University
  • Under the auspices of the International Society of Difference Equations (ISDE)

    Continuing the series of International Conferences on Difference Equations and Applications, the 7th meeting will be held in Changsha, People's Republic of China. Both in form and spirit this conference will resume the style established during the previous meetings in San Antonio,Texas/USA (1994), Veszprém/Hungary (1995), Taipei/Taiwan (1997), Poznan/Poland (1998), Temuco/Chile (2000) and Augsburg/Germany(2001).

    The conference will cover all themes of the field of ordinary and partial difference equations, classical and contemporary, theoretical and applied. There will be about 15 plenary lectures (50 minutes) in mornings, and 30 minutes talks in the afternoon sessions as well as an open problems seminar.
