This is a brief introductory session to Minitab for Windows. For those of you who took Stats 2500 or Stats 2501 last year at MUN, this version of Minitab is familiar to you. For those who have not taken a stats course at MUN for a couple of years, you will notice it operates quite a bit differently than the text-based version of Minitab you may have used.
PRINTING: To print stuff in the CS-1009 lab, you need to have money on your printing account. To do this, you need to put money on your student card, using the machine at the entrance of the library. Once the money is put on your card, you can go to the lab in C2003/4 and place your card in the card reader. Transfer the money you wish to use for printing to your printer account by entering in that particular amount.
Cost for printing is 5 cents per page.
This session assumes you have already been able to log into the computers in the lab (CS-1009), using the username and password provided to you, and that you are now looking at the setup of Windows on your computer screen.
To start Minitab, move your mouse to the Start button in the
bottom-left corner of the screen, and use your left mouse button to
click
Programs - MINITAB 13 for Windows - MINITAB
Minitab should now start on your computer, with an area for entering data on the bottom of the screen (a Worksheet), and an area where output will appear on the top of the screen (the Session window).
