A Brief Personal History

I grew up in Lewisporte - a small town (ok medium size in NL) on the northeast coast of Newfoundland. Attended Lewisporte Regional High School. Played highschool volleyball. Studied as an undergraduate at MUN - graduating with a BSc (Hons) in Applied Mathematics in 1996. Grad school at Simon Fraser finishing a PhD in Applied and Computational Math very early in 2003 (nothing like the birth of my first child to get things moving!). Post-doc at the University of Waterloo followed by 5 great years as faculty in the Math & Stats department at Acadia. And finally moved (with my wife, son and daughter) back home to start a position at MUN for the fall of 2009.
