In the Name of God Amen I Thomas
Pyke of Broad Somerford in the County of Wilts Gentleman being of sound mind 
memory & understanding do make this my last Will and Testament in manner following
I give and devise and bequeath unto my Friends John Parsloe of Broad Somerford Gentleman
and Daniel Smith of Malmsbury in the said County of Wilts Brewer All those my Freehold
Messuages or Tenements Closes of Arable Meadow & Pasture Land Hereditaments & Premises with
the appurtenances thereunto belonging situate lying & being in Broad Somerford aforesaid
called or known by the names of the Bridge Farm the House Farm Groves Farm & Gibbons
Farm and now in the occupation of me the said Thomas Pyke and John Hopkins (save
and except the Messuage or Tenement Garden & Premises used as the Homestead to
the said Farm called the House Farm hereinafter given to my wife Winifred for the term of
her life) To have & to hold the said messuages or Tenements Closes of Land Hereditaments
and premises unto the said John Parsloe and Daniel Smith and their heirs subject to
the payment of the four several Legacies of one thousand pounds and for several Legacies
of one thousand five hundred pounds hereinafter given to my Daughters & Sons 
Elizabeth Winifred Mary Frances Sophia John William Henry Smith and Wellington
and also subject to the several Incumbrances by way of Mortgage or otherwise now due
and owing thereon by me and charged and chargeable on the said Messuages or Tenements
Closes of Land and Premises upon the trust and for the ends intents and purposes & under
and subject to the powers conditions and limitations hereinafter expressed and declared of
and concerning the same (that is to say) To the use (subject to the said Lacies and
Incumbrances) of my Son Thomas Pyke and his assigns for the term of his natural life
and from and after the determination of that Estate by forfeiture or otherwise in his life
time Then to the use of the said John Parsloe and Daniel Smith and their heirs (subject
as aforesaid) during the natural life of my said Son Thomas Pyke In trust to support

and preserve the contingent uses and Estates hereinafter limited from being defeated or
destroyed and for that purpose to make entries and bring actions as occasion shall
equire but nevertheless to permit & suffer my said Son Thomas Pyke and his assigns
(subject as aforesaid) to receive and take the Rents Issues and profits of the said Messuage
or Tenements Closes of Land and premises for and during the term of his natural
life from & immediately after my said Son shall have attained the age of twenty five
years and from & immediately after the decease of my said Son To the use (subject as
aforesaid) of the first son of the Body of my said Son lawfully to be begotten and the
heirs male of the body of such first son lawfully issuing and for default of such Issue
To the use of the second third fourth fifth and all and every other the son and sons
of my said son lawfully to be begotten severally successively and in remainder one
after another as they shall severally be in priority of birth and the heirs male of
the Body & Bodies of all & every such Son & Sons issuing the elder of such sons &
the heirs male of his and their body and bodies being always preferred & to be taken
before the younger of the said Sons and the heirs male of his and their body and Bodies
issuing and in default of such Issue To the use of all & every the Daughter & Daughters
of my said Son lawfully begotten or to be begotten equally between them share
and share alike as Tenants in common and not as joint Tenants and in case there
shall be only one Daughter To the use of such Daughter and the heirs of her
body and in default of Issue and subject as aforesaid To the use of the right heirs
of my said Son Thomas Pyke and I hereby will order and idrect that my
said Trustees John Parsloe and Daniel Smith do and shall until my said Son Thomas Pyke
shall attain the said age of twenty five years receive the Rents Issues & Profits of my said
Messuages or Tenements Closes of Land and Premises and pay apply and ????e the same
towards the maintenance & education of my said Daughters and Sons Elizabeth Winifred
Mary Frances Sophia Thomas John William Henry Smith and Wellington and from
and after my said Son Thomas Pyke shall have attained the said age of twenty five years
to permit and suffer my said Son Thomas Pyke to receive & take the Rents Issues & Profits
of the same to and for his own use & benefit subject to the payment of the said Legacies herein
after given to my said Daughters and Sons Elizabeth Winifred Mary Frances Sophia John
William Henry Smith and Wellington which Legacies I direct shall be paid by my said
Son Thomas Pyke to such of my said Children as shall be of the age of twenty five years
when my said Son Thomas takes possession of the said Rents and Profits immediately on
his being so let into possession and the Legacies of the others of my said Children to be
paid them on their respectively attaining the said age of twenty five years and until
such child of children shall atain the said age of twenty five years I will and direct that
my said son Thomas Pyke do and shall pay unto my said Child or Children interest at
five per cent on their respective Legacies I give to my Daughters Elizabeth Winifred Mary
and Frances Sophia the sum of one thousand pounds each also I give to my sons John
William Henry Smith & Wellington the sum of one thousand five hundred pounds each which
Legacies I do hereby charge on my said Messuages or Tenements Closes of Land & Premises
hereinbefore given to my said Trustees In trust for my son Thomas Pyke and I do hereby
order & direct that the said several Legacies shall be paid by my said Son Thomas Pyke
in manner hereinbefore mentioned I give devise & bequeath unto my said dear wife
Winifred Pyke all that Messuage or Tenement with the Garden & Appurts thereunto
belonging situate lying & being in Broad Somerford aforesaid being the Homestead
belongint to hte said Farm call the House Farm and now in the occupation of Mrs Hubbert
Also I give devise & bequeath unto my said dear Wife Winifred all that my freehold Messuage
or Tenement togther with the Barns STables Closes Pieces and Parcels of Land Hereditaments
and Premises with the Appurtenances thereunto belonging situate lying & being in the
Parish of Compton Bassett in the said County of Wilts & now in the occupation of George Bailey
To have and to hold the said Messuages or Tenements Closes of Land Hereditaments & Premises 
unto my said Wife Winifred and her assigns for and during the term of her natural life and
from and immediately after her decease I give devise & bequeath the same unto my said
Friends John Parsloe and Daniel Smith and their heirs upon the Trust and for the ends
intents & purposes and under & subject to the powers conditions & limitations hereinafter
expressed & declared of and concerning the same (that is to say) To the use of my said Son

Thomas Pyke and his assigns for the term of his natural life and from & after the determination
of that Estate by forfeiture or otherwise in his lifetime Then to the use of the said John
Parsloe & Daniel Smith & their heirs during the natural life of my said Son Thomas Pyke

heirs of my said Son Thomas Pyke I give devise and bequeath unto my Son John Pyke all
that Freehold Cottage or Tenement with the Garden & Appurtenances thereunto belonging
situate lying and being at Startley inthe said parish of Broad Somerford now in the
occupation of Abraham Gingell and lately purchased by me of and from Stephen Spriggs
To have and to hold the said Cottage or Tenement Garden and Premises unto my said Son
John Pyke his heirs and assigns for ever All the Rest Residue & Remainder of my Estate
and Effects of what nature or kind soever subject to the payment of my just Debts and Funeral
Expences I give devise and bequeath to my said Son Thomas Pyke his Exors Admors & assigns
to and for his and their own use and disposal and I do hereby constitute and appoint
my said wife Winifred and my said Friend John Parsloe Executrix & Executor of this my last
Will and Testament hereby revoking all former wills by me made and declaring this to be my
last Will and Testament and I do hereby will and direct that my said Trustees shall not be
answerable or accountable for any loss that may happen to my Estates unless the same happen
through the wilful neglect or default of my said Trustees or either of them and that they shall
be each answerable for their own separate acts and Receipts only & not the one of them
for the acts and Receipts of the other of them And lastly I will and direct that my said Son Thomas
Pyke do and shall pay and reimburse to my said Trustees all the Costs Charges & Expences which
they or either of them may sustain or be put unto in and about the execution of the Trusts hereby
given and reposed in them In witness whereof I the said Testator Thomas Pyke have to this
my last Will and Testament contained in five sheets of paper to the first four set my hand
and to the last my hand and Seal this Fourth day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand
eight hundred & fifteen  Thos Pyke  LS  Signed sealed published and declared by the said
Testator Thomas Pyke as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who in
his precense and in the presence of each other have subscribed ournames as witnesses thereto

Proved at London 8th December 1815 before the Judge by the oaths of John Parsloe
and Winifred Pyke widow the Exors to whom admon was granted havg been first sworn by
