This is the last Will
and Testament of Rebecca Pyke of the Parish
of Tinsbury in the County of Somerset widow I give
and devise unto my right Heirs as Tenants in
Common all and every my right and rights of Advowson
and all and singular my Right Interest Property and Claim
to patronage administration and presentation and
????? disposition of whatever nature or description
the same is or are or however frequently
happening or occuring of in and to the Vicarage
of the parish and parish Church of Chiew
otherwise Chiew Magna with the Chapp???y of Doundry
annexed in the County of Somerset aforesaid and
also of in and to the vicarage and Rectory of the
parish and Parish Church of Be??ing Barbour
in the County of Devon and also of and in all
and every other Vicarage and Rectory in the
said Counties or either of them with their
respective rights privileges in?????es Heredits
and Appurtenances To hold the same and every
part thereof unto and to the use of my right
???? for ever as Tenants in Common and not



as Joint Tenants I give and bequest  the sum of One Guinea  unto each of
my  Grand  Children which shall be living at the time of my
decease Also I give and bequeath unto the Reverend
William Br????ll Barter of Timsbury aforesaid
Clerk Master of ????? The Reverend John ??????ett
of Winford in the County of Somerset aforesaid Clerk
the Sum of One hundred and thirty four pounds upon
the Trusts and for the intents and purposes herein
after expressed and declaring of and concerning the 
so???? (that is to say) upon Trust that they my
said Trustees and the Survivor of
them and the Executors and Admors of such
Surviv do and shall pay and apply the sum
and every part thereof unto or to and to the use
support and benefit of my Daughter Elizabeth
Dowling wife of John Dowling of Dundry aforesd
Gentleman in such proportions at such time or 
times in such manner and for such purposes as
she my said Daughter Sarah during the term
of her natural life either verbally or in writing
under her hand direct which said sum I hereby
will and declare shall not be subject or liable
to the Controul Debts or Engagements of her
said Husband but shall from time to time and
at all times during the natural life of my said
Daughter be subject to her own and sole use 
direction and disposition in the same manner
as if she were a feme sole and unmarried and
for which her Receipt shall be the only discharge
but in Case the whole of the said sum of one
hundred and thirty four pounds shall not have
been disposed of by my said Daughter or to ?r for
her use in her life time then it is my will and
I do hereby direct that my said Trustees and the
Survivor ?? them and the Executors and Admors
of such Survivor do and shall pay such part
thereof as shall remain in their hands
undisposed of at the time of her decease unto
and equally between all the Children of my
said Daughter if more than one as shall be
living at the time of her decease share and
share alike and if but one child then to pay
the same to such only child but in Case my
said Daughter shall happen to die without
leaving and Child to Survive her then upon
Trust to pay the same unto my own legal
Representatives All the Rest Residue and 
Remainder of my Real and personal Estate
Goods Chattels Moneys and Securities for Money
Debts rights Credits and Effects whatsoever and
wheresoever and not hereinbefore given and
disposed of I give devise and bequeath unto
before named Trustees William Brude??ell Barter



and John Hammett To hold to them the said
William Brudewell Barter and John Hamm??ett
and the Survivor of them and the Heirs Executors
and Admors of such Survivor upon the several
Trusts following (that is to say) upon Trust that
they my said Trustees and the Survivor of them
and the heirs Executors and Admors of such
Survivor do and shall with all Convenient
speed next after my decease either by publick
auction private sole or otherwise as they in
their discretion shall think proper convert into
Money all such part and parts of my said
Estates as shall not already consist of Money
and shall also call in and Compel payment
if necessary of all such parts thereof as shall
consist of Money and shall at the time of my
decease be out on Security at Interest or
otherwise and also Co??ert and get in all such
Debts which shall or may be due and owing
unto me at the time of my decease then upon
Trust in the first place to satisfy and discharge
all my Debts my Funeral Expences the charge
or proving this my will and the Legacies herein
before given and bequeathed and after full
payment thereof respectively then upon Trust to
invest the Rest and Residue of such the produce
of my said Estate and Effects in the purchase of
??????? of the   Parliamentary Stocks or Funds of Great Britain
or to put and place the same out at Interest
on some Real Security as they in their
discretion shall think proper in their own
names or in the Name of the Surivor of them
or the Executors or Admors of such Survivor
and then upon Trust to pay apply and
dispose of all and singular the Dividends Interest
and other proceeds of such Funds or Securities
or upon which the said Monies shall be so
invested or advanced as aforesaid and as the
same shall from time to time become due and
be received unto or for the use support and
Maintenance of or the Care trouble and
attention given and afforded unto my Daughter
Sarah Pike for and during the term of her 
natural life in such way and manner as they 
in their discretion shall think fit and proper
and as my said Daughter Sarah Pike shall or
may require and direct and further it is my will
and desire and I do hereby direct that in Case
my said Daughter Sarah Pike shall in the
Judgement and Opinion of my said Trustees or
the Survivor of them through attention or
otherwise require more Comforts attention and



a?comodations than the Dividends Interest and
proceeds aforesaid can afford or supply her with
that then and in such Case my said Trustees and
the Surivior of them and the Exectuors and Admon
of such Survivor do and shall and they are hereby
fully authorized and empowered to advance any part
or proportions of the principal sum and sums of
money so to be invested and advanced as aforesaid
which my said Daughter Sarah Pike shall or
may require or think proper to have advanced so as
such sum or sums do not amount in the whole unto
more than the sum of three hundred pounds and 
from and after the decease of my said Daughter
Sarah Pike and the full payment and discharge
of all her Funeral Expences which I hereby direct
shall be paid by my said Trustees out of such
dividends Interest and proceeds as aforesaid upon
Trust to pay one Moiety or equal half part of
the Dividends Interest and proceeds which shall
be produced and received from the sum and 
sums of Money to be so invested and advanced
as aforesaid or so much thereof as shall then
remain inappropriated or unapplied as aforesaid
unto my aforesaid Daughter Elizabeth Dowling and
her assigns for and during the term of her natural
life to and for her own proper and separate use and
benefit apart from her present or any future
Husband and for which her receipt shall be the 
only discharge and from and after the decease of
my said Daughter Elizabeth Dowling upon Trust 
to pay assign and transfer the said Moiety or
equal half part  of such sum  and sums of Money as aforesaid
together with such dividends Interest and proceeds
as shall or may be due thereon unto and equally
between all such Children of my said Daughter
Elizabeth Dowling if more than one as shall be
living at the time of her decease share and
share alike when and as they shall severally
and respectively attain their ages of twenty one
one years to and for their respective proper uses
and if but one Child then to pay the same
unto such only Child and in the mean time to
pay and apply such Interest Dividends and
produce for and towards their respective Maintenance
and Education and upon this further Trust
to pay the other or remaining Moiety or equal
half part of such Dividends Interest and proceeds
to be produced and received as aforesaid unto
my Daughter Rebecca Crang wife of John Crang
of Timsbury aforesaid Gentleman and her
Assigns for and during the term of her natural
life to and for her own proper and separate use



and benefit apart from her present or any future Husband
and for which her receipt shall be the only discharge and
from and afte rthe decease of my said DAughter Rebecca
Crang upon Trust to pay assign and transfer the said last
mentioned Moiety or equal half part of such sum and
sums of Money as aforesaid together with such Dividends
Interest and produce as shall or may be due there??
unto and equally between all such Children of my said
Daughter Rebecca Crang if more than one as shall be 
living at the time of her decease share and share alike
when and as they shall respectively attain their ages of
twenty one years to and for their respective proper uses and
if but one Child then to pay the same to such only
Child and in the mean time to pay and apply such
Dividends Interest and produce for and towards their
respective Maintenance and Education and to for or
upon no other Trust use end intent or purpose
whatsoever and it is my will that my said Trustees
or the Survivor of them or the Executors or Admors of
such Survivor shall not be liable or Compellable to
pay the Moieties of the said sum and sums of 
Money so as as aforesaid respectively hereinbefore
given unto the Children of my said Daughters Elizabeth
Dowling and Rebecca Crang on the events of their
respective deceases ^ Nor shall they or either of them be   ^ as aforesaid until
???e to answer or make good any loss which shall              the Expiration of
or may happen to the before mentioned Estates and             twelve Months
Effects in placing out the Money thereby produced             next after their
according to the Directions of this my will or in             respective deceases
transacting for forming or executing any of the Trusts
hereby in them reposed Nor shall either of them be
answerable or accountable for the Acts Deeds Receipts
or Disbursements of the other of them but each of
them for his own separate Acts Deeds Receipts and
Disbursements only and I do hereby direct that
my said Trustees and the Survivor of them and the
Heirs Executors and Admors of such Survivor shall
and may pay and reimburse themselves and
himself out of the aforesaid Trust Estate and Effects
all such reasonable and necessary Costs Charges and
Expences which they either or any of them shall or
may bear pay be put unto or sustain in or about
the Execution of this my will or any of the Trusts
hereby in them reposed And Lastly I do hereby
nominate constitute and appoint them the said
Willian Brundewell Barter and John Hammett
Executors In Trust of this my Will hereby revoking
all other wills by me heretofore made and declaring
this to be my only last will and Testament In
witness whereof I have to this my last will and Testament
contained in Four Sheets of paper to the three first
sheets thereof setmy hand and to this fourth


and last sheet my hand and seal the thirieth day of
November One thousand eight hundred and six   Rebecca
Pyke  signed sealed Published and Declared by the
Testatrix Rebecca Pyke as and for her last will and 
Testament in the presence of us who in her presence and at
her request and in the prsence of each other have
subscribed our names as witnesses the Interlineations of
the words "which said sum" I hereby " between the
twenty third and twenty Fourth lines of the first sheet
the word "when" between the seventeenth and eighteenth
lines and the words "then to pay the same unto such
only Child" between the eihteenth and
nineteenth lines of the third sheet of such will
having been first made  Jane Elizabeth Crang

This Will was proved at London the
twenty sixth day of March in the year of our Lord
one thousand eight hundred and seven before the Right
Honorable Sir William Wynne Knight Doctor of Laws
Master Keeper or Commissary of the Prerogative Court
of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the Oaths of the
The Reverend William B??dewell Barter and John
Hammett Clerks the Executors named in the said
will to whom administration of all and singular
the Goods Chattells and Credits of the said deceased
was granted having been first sworn by Commission
duly to administer
