In the Name of God Amen
I William Pike of Hungerford in the County of Berks Mealman
being Weak in Body though of sound mind and memory but
considering the uncertainty of this Transitory Life do make



and declare this my last will and Testament in manner
following that is to say First I will and desire that all such
just debts as I shall ower at the time of my decease the
Expences of my Funeral and Testamentary Charges shall
be fully paid by the Executors of this my Will also I give
and bequeath unto my trustly Friends Cheyney Waldron of
Eastridge Farm in the Parish of Ramsbury and County of
Wilts Yeoman Thomas Turton of Newtown in the Parish 
of Hungerford and County of Berks aforesaid Yeoman and
Matthew Liddiard of Charnham Street in the said Parish
of Hungerford but in the County of Wilts aforesaid Maltster all
my Household Good and Furniture utensils and Implements
of Household Stock in Trade Monies Securities for Moneys
Goods Chattels and personal Estate whatsoever and wheresoever To hold
to them the said Cheyney Waldron Thomas Turton and
Matthew Liddiard the Survivors and Survivor of them his
Executors and administrators Upon trust nevertheless First
to sell and dispose absolutely of all my said Household Goods
and Furniture Stock and Effects as soon as conveniently may
be next after my decease and in the next place to collect
and receive all my Book Debts and such other Debts to
me due and owing as they the said trustees the Survivors
or Survivor of them his Executors or administrators shall at
their or his Discretion think proper to collect and call in
and the monies thereby arising and collected to lend and place
out at Interest upon such security or Securities either real
or personal as they my said trustees the Survivors or Survivor
of them his Executors or administrators shall think proper
and also to call in and receive the same and every other
part of my personal Estate or any part thereof as often as
occasion shall require and pay apply and dispose of the
principal and Interest or any part thereof for or towards the
maintenance Education Tuition and bringing up of all and
every of my four Children (namely) William James Ann
and Richard Pike until they shall severally arrive to the age
of twenty one years or day of Marriage which shall first
happen next after my decease and when they shall be so
arrived to that age or day or Marriage then I give and
bequeath all and every the said Monies and securities for
monies with the Interest tehreof effects and Personal Estate
hereinbefore given and bequeathed unto my said four Children
to be equally divided between them share and share alike
also I give and devise unto the said Cheyney Waldron
Thomas Turton and Matthew Liddiard all and every my
Messuages Tenements Lands and Hereditaments with their
and every of their Appurtenances situate standing lying and
being within the several Parishes of Hungerford aforesaid
and Kingstone Lisle in the said County of Berks which I
am now seized of or intitled unto in possession Reversion Remainder
or expectancy or otherwise however to hold the same unto my
said trustees the Survivors or Survivor of them his Executors
and administrators Upon this trust and Confidence they they

collect and receive the Rents Issues and Profits and apply
the same (after repairs and Taxes be defrayed or so much
thereof as shall be necessary) for and towards the maintenance
Education Tuition and bringing up of my said Son William
Pike until he shall arrive to the sd age of twenty one years
and as soon as he shall be arrived to that age then I
give and devise the same Freehold Messuages Tenements Lands
and Hereditaments with their appurtenances with the
accumulated Rents Issues and Profits thereof (if any) unto
my son William Pike his Heirs and assigns for ever
nevertheless charged and Chargeable and I do hereby
charge the same Freehold Premises with the payment of
four pounds apiece unto my other three Children James Ann
and Richard Pike at the age of twenty one years or day or
Marriage as aforesaid and I do hereby constitute and
appoint the said Cheyney Waldron Thomas Turton and
Matthew Liddiard Joint Executors of this my last Will and
Testament In trust for the purposes aforesaid and I give
unto each and every of them a Mourning Ring of a
Guinea Value as an acknowledgement of their Friendship
in taking upon themselves the burthen of the said trust and
I do hereby revoke and make void all former and other
Wills and Testaments by me made In witness whereof I
have hereunto set my hand and Seal this thirteenth day of
February in year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred
and eighty six William Pike  Signed Sealed published
and declared by the said William Pike the Testator as and
for his last Will and Testament in the Presence of us who
at his request in his presence and in the presence of each
other have hereunto subscribed our respective Names as
witnesses thereto M Dandridge  Seyl Mundy  Thos Stevens

This Will was proved at London the twentieth
day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand
seven hundred and eighty six before the Right Worshipful
Peter Calvert Doctor of Laws Master Keeper or Commissary
of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury lawfully constituted
by the oaths of Cheyney Waldron and Thomas Turton
two of the Executors named in the said will to whom
administration was granted of all and singular the Goods
Chattels and Credits of the deceased having been first sworn
by Commission duly to Administer Power reserved of
making the like grant to Matthew Liddiard the other
Executor named in the said will when he shall
apply for the same
