In the name of God Amen
the Fifteenth day of July in the yeare of our Lord God one thousand six
hundred Fifty Nine I Nicholas Pike of Shaston in the County of Dorsett Gent
being sicke in body but of good and perfect memorie thankes bee to Almighty
God and calling to remembrance the uncertaine estate of this transitorie life
and that all flesh must yeild unto death when it shall please God to call doe
make constitute ordaine and declare this my last Will and Testament in
manner and forme Following revoakeing and adnulling by these psents all
and every Testament and Testaments Will and Wills heretofore by mee
made and declared either by word or by writeing and this is to bee taken onely
for my last Will and Testament and none other and first being penitent and
sorry for all my sinnes most humbly desirving pardon and forgivenesse for ye
same I comitt my soule unto Almighty God my saviour and redeemer in
whome and by the merritts of Jesus Christ ^ belevie to bee saved and to           ^ trust and
have full remission and forgivenesse of all my sinnes and that my body
with my soule at the generall day of the Resurreccon shall rise againe ???
day and through the merritts of Christs death and passion possessd and Inheritt
the Kingdome of heaven prepared for his ???? and chosen and my body to bee
duried in such place and in ???? decent way and manner as it shall please
my Executor hereafter named for to appointe and now for the settling of my
Temporall estate and such wealth as it hath pleased the Lord to bestow upon
mee ???? above my ????? I doe order give and dispose the same in manner and
forme following vizt ????? * give and bequeath unto my daughter Anne
Perry one hundred pounds of good and Lawfull money of England to bee paid
unto her within six monthes after my departure by my Executor hereafter
named with this Provisoe that good Security bee given for the same to bee
paid to her Children when they are of age that is to say sixty pounds to her
eldest sonne William Perry and tenne pounds apeice to her other foure
Children Item I give and bequeath unto my daughter Anne Perryes elder
sonne William Perry the dwelling house barns and garden ???eeland
Lying neare to the White Heart in Shaston and a greate Garden in ?????e
Lane this doe I bequeath to him ??? his heires Executors administrators
assignes for ever I doe desire my overseers hereafter nominate? for the good
and benefitt of the child to lett it forth to ????? to it and ?????? for to
order it as may bee most for the Childs proffitt when hee comes to age This
??? doe I give and bequeath unto my grandchild William Perry and to
his for ever with this proviso That my sonne Peter Pike have noe sonne
begotton of his owne body but if my sonne Peter have a sonne begotten of his owne
body then I doe give and bequeath the same dwelling house barns and
gardens aforesaid to him his heires executors administrators and assignes
for ever Item I give and bequeath unto my sonne Peter Pike the sume of
five poundes to buy him a paire of ???? to bee paid him by my Executors within
a yeare after my departure Item I give and bequeath unto Nicholas Pike
Eldest sonne of my sonne John Pike the sume of sixty poundes of good &
lawfull money of England and I give to John Pike sonne of John Pike
the sume of forty poundes to bee paid by my Executor to my sonne John
Pike within a yeare after my departure for his use and benefitt till the
children come to age with this proviso that that hee give good ?????????????
of the same to the children when they come to age Item I give and bequeath



To unto my Cozen Anne De??e of Southampton five shillings the quarter
to bee pair her quarterly by my Executor without faile after my departure Irem
I give and bequeath unto my sonne John Pike a house in the Shambles that
Keyball dwells in and hee is to have it as his ????e at the house of my
death Item I give and bequeath unto my wife whome I doe make Sole
Executor of this my last Will and Testament all my househould stuffe movable
whatsoever to bee at her dispossing So that the dispose of it to those of her 
children she thinke fitt at her death Item I give unto my wife the Angels
close and the house which John Lush lives in together with the Shop that John
Alford ?o???s next to the George paying the Lords rent for the same Item I
I bequeath to my servant that now is Forty shillings and my sonne Peters maid
and ???? Lirsh five shillings apeice to bee paid them by my Executor within
the six monthes Item I give unto Goody Burage the sume of five shillings to
bee given her within a month after my departure Item I doe Constitute and
appointe for my overseers my trustly and welbeloved freinds Richard Priddle
John Hodges and Joseph Biles to ??? the performance of this my Will &
for their labour and paines I doe bequeath and give each of them a Gold
ring at the value of twenty shillings a ring In wittnesse whereunto I have 
sett my hand and Seale dated the day and yeare abovewritten Nicholas Pike

This will was proved att London the sixteenth
day of September in the yeare of our Lord God one thousand six hundred
fifty nin Before the Judges for probate of Wills and granting Administratione
lawfully authorized by the oath of Anne Pike the relict of the said deced
and Sole Executrix named in the said Will To whome Administration of all &
singular the goods chattels and debts of the said Deceased was grannted she being
first by comon truely to Administer the same according to the tenor and effect of
the said Will
