In the name of God Amen
I Nicholas Pike of Coate in the parish of Martoke being sicke of body
but of perfect memory Doe make this my last will and testament in maner
and forme following Imprimis I give and bequeath my sole into the hands of
Allmighty God and body to the Christian buryall Item I give to my son
in lawe William Rice thirtie shillinge which he owes me Item I give to my
Daughter Edeth twelve pence Item I give to my Son in lawe William Rice
foure children twelve pence apeece All the rest of my goods within Doores and
without I give to my Son Steeven whom I Doe make my whole Executor Allsoe
I would desire Mr Robert Napper of Ilchester my Landlord to be a friend in
truth for my Son In witness whereof I have hereto set my hand and seale
the twentieth Day of Aprill Ano Dom 1657  The marke of Nicholas
Pike  Witnesses to these are  John Pitterd  The marke
of Hmphrey Cole

The two and twentieth day of December In the yeare of our lord
god accordinge to the Computation of the Church of England one thousand six
hundred Fiftie and eight Issued forth a commission to Robert Napper Trustee
named in the last will and Testament of Nicholas Pike deceased To Administer
the goods Chattells and debts of the said Deceased accordinge to the tenor of his
said will Dureinge the minority and to the use and behoofe of Stephen Pike
a minor the naturall and lawfull Sonne of the said Deceased and sole Exe
cutor named in the said will ?wethe said Robert Napper beeing first sworne
by Comission truly to Administer the same
