I Isaac Pike of Tetbury in the County of Gloucester Tyler Do make this my last



Will and Testament in manner following that is to say I give devise and bequeath
unto my Trustees Joseph Smith and John Letall both of Tetbury aforesaid Gentlemen
their heirs and assigns the Messuage or Tenement and Premises wherein I now
reside situate in Tetbury aforesaid In Trust to permit and suffer my Daughter Sophia
To hold and enjoy the same for the term of her natural life independenet of and
without the control or molestation of her present or any future husband and from
and after her decease I give and devise the same Messuage and Premises unto
James Lees of Tetbury aforesaid Laborer To hold and enjoy the same for the term
of his natural life and from and immediately after his decease I give and devise
the said Messuage or Tenement and Premises unto such person and persons for
such Estate and Estates uses intents and purposes as they the said James Lees and
Sophia my Daughter shall by any Deed or Instrument in writing under their joint
hands and seals duly executed in the presence of and attested by two or more Credible
Witnesses limit direct or appoint the same and for want or in default of such joint
limitation direction or appointment Then I give and devise the said Messuage or
Tenement and Premises unto the survivor of them the said James Lees and Sophia my
Daughter and the heirs and assigns of such Survivor for ever I also give and bequeath
unto the said Trustees all my Household Goods Plate Linen China Furniture other
Chattels and Effects in and about my Dwelling house at the time of my decease In
Trust for the sole and separate use and benefit of my said Daughter Sophia 
independent of her present or any future husband who shall not intermeddle therewith
the same to be at the sole disposal of her my said Daughter Sophia by Deed or Will
or by any other Gift notwithstanding her Coverture to the intent that the same or
any part thereof may not vest in any such husband Item I give and bequeath
unto my said Trustees all my ready money Monies in the funds or elsewhere
and all the Rest of my Personal Estate In Trust to pay my just Debts and funeral
expences and the Legacies by me hereinafter mentioned that is to say To my Son Isaac
Pike the Sum of twenty shillings only and unto each of my Daughters Ann Roberts and
Mary Bishop the Sum of twenty pounds apiece and then In trust to stand possessed of
the said Monies in the Funds or elsewhere for the separate use and benefit of her
my said Daughter Sophia for whom my said Trustees at their discretion or at her
request shall or may from time to time sell out any part or all of the same and
in the meantime I direct them my said Trustees to pay the Dividends arising therefrom
into her own separate hands and I do hereby direct that her receipts at all times under
her own hand as well for the principal as for the Dividends or Interest shall be good
and sufficient discharges to my said Trustees to the intent that the same or any part
thereof respectively shall not be liable to the Debts Control or Engagements of her present or any
future husband and lastly I do hereby nominate the said Joseph Smith and John
Letall to be joint Executors In trust of this my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof
I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 26th day of July in the year of our Lord 1823

Isaac Pike as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who in his
presence and at his request and in the presence of each other have subscribed our
names as witnesses thereto  Rob Clark Paul  Francis Vanstone  Edwd Burch

Proved at London 19th March 1828 before the Judge by the oaths of
Joseph Smith and John Letall the Executors to whom admon was granted being
first sworn (by Comon) duly to administer
