Pikes buried in Spaniard's Bay

The following photos were taken on 03 September 2006 in the cemetery on the main road (i.e., on the old Conception Bay Highway). The cemetery did not appear to be signed with any name or religious affiliation.

In March 2007 I received an email informing me that there are really two cemeteries here, one Anglican and the other Methodist. Apparently they were separated by a fence in the 1950s, but the fence has since disappeared. The Methodist section lies on the east side and comprises about one quarter to one third of the present cemetery.

The following photos were taken on 09 May 2007. To get to this cemetery, turn onto Brown's Road (near the front of the Anglican church on the hill) and follow it until it ends at the cemetery.
