In the Name of God Amen
I Edward White Store Keeper of his Majestys Ordinance in
the Island of Newfoundland being of Sound and disposing
Mind Memory and Understanding considering the certainty
of Death and the uncertainty of the time then of do make and
ordain my last Will and Testament in manner and form
following that is to say Imprimis I give to Master Bullock
and to his Sister  Hannah Myles Brown the Wife of Mr
Francis Brown of Tower Street London a Ring of a Guinea
Value each all the rest residue and remainder of my Personal
Estate and Effects of what nature or kind soever or wheresoever
I give and bequeath to my Uncle John Bullock of the Town
of London Gentleman and to my Good friend John Gaskell
of the Parish of Saint Mary le Grand in the county of
Middlesex Ma??s Mercer or the Survivor of them or the
Executors or Administrators of such Survivor In Trust as soon
conveniently may be after my decease to get in the same and
dispose thereof for the most Money that they can get for the
same and to lay out and invest all such Sum and Sums of
Money as shall come to their Hands by virtue hereof on
Government or real Securities and pay and apply out of



the Interest Dividends or produce thereof an Annuity or Yearly
Sum of twenty Pounds of Good and lawfull Money of
Great Britain to my honoured Mother Mary Smart of
Amplmay in the County of Gloucester Widow for and during
the Term of her natural Life by equal half yearly payments
without any deduction or abatement whatsoever agreeable
to the condition of a Bond from me to  her bearing ??
date herewith in the p???al Sum of five hundred pounds
and upon further Trust to pay the residue of such Interest
Dividend or Produce during the Term of my said Mothers
Life to my Wife Mary White for her maintenance and
support and also for and towards the maintenance and
Educacion of such Child or Children by me the said Edward
White on the Body of my said Wife to be begotten as shall
be living at the time of my decease untill they shall
respectively attain their Age of twenty one in case my
said Mother shall so long live and from and immediately
after her decease In Trust to pay and Transfer one Moiety
or half part of my said Estate to my said Wife to and for
her sole and Separate use and as to the other Moiety thereof
In Trust to pay and apply the same for and toward the
maintenance and Education of such Child or children as
aforesaid till they shall attain their Ages of twenty one and
as often as either of them shall attain that age In Trust to
pay and Transfer for such Child his or her share of the said
Moiety (the same to be equally divided among them to and
for his or her Sole and separate use and If I should happen
to survive my said Wife and should leave a Child or children
at the time of my decease then In Trust to pay and apply the
residue of the said Interest Dividends or Produce (after payment
of my Mothers said annuity for and towards their maintenance
and Education till they shall arrive at twenty one and as
often as one shall attain that Age then to pay and transfer
the share of the principal of such Child to him or her for his
or her sole and separate use and in case there shall be no
such Child or Children living at the time of my decease then
In Trust to pay to my said Wife the residue of the said
Interest Dividends or produce for and during my Mothers 
Life and from and immediately after her decease to pay and
transfer the principal to my said Wife to and for her Sole
and separate use But if neither my said Wife nor any such
Child shall be living at the time of my decease then I give
and bequeath to my said Mother Mary Smart all the 
said rest and residue of my said Estate and Effects of what
Nature or kind soever or wheresoever And if neither my
said Mother Wife nor Child shall be living at the time of my
decease then and in such case I give and bequeath the same
to my said Uncle John Bullock his Executors Administrators
and of this my last Will and Testament I make constitute
and appoint the said John Bullock and John Gastrell
Executors and my mind and Will is that my said Executors
or the Survivor of them or the Executors or administrators



of such Survivor may if he or they shall think fit sell and
dispose of Exechange and alter any stocks or Securities * and		* which he or they shall be
so from time to time sell the same gain and vest the			  intrusted with by virtue hereof
Money thereby arising so as the same be done with the			  and vest and lay out any
consent of the Person or Persons for the time being entitled		  Moneys thereby arising ??
to the Interest or Proceed thereof if he she or they be of years	  any other Government publick or
of discretion and if not then with consent of his her or		  other Funds Stocks or Securities
their nearest Relations and also shall or may with the
like consent put or place out at Interest or vest in or on ???
such Funds or Securities as aforesaid from time to time all
or any part of such Monees as he or they shall have in
his or their Hands by virtue hereof in Trust for the Benefit
and advantage either absolutely or presumptively of any
person or persons under the age of twenty one years untill
the same shall be payable to him her or them respectively
and pay or apply the same or the Interest or proceed thereof
or of any part thereof for or towards the Maintenance
and Education or other sooner necessary use or uses of the
person or persons for whose benefit and advantage the
same shall so be in Trust respectively and if as he or
they shall think fit or proper sell Exchange or alter the
same or any part thereof and take and procure others in
the Room thereof from time to time till the same shall
be payable as aforesaid and likewise that neither of them
my said Executors nor either of their Executors or
Administrators shall be chargeable with or liable to make
good any loss or Damage which shall or may happen
by putting or placing out at Interest or vesting or laying
out any Monies or disposing exchanging or altering ??
Securities as aforesaid or otherwise acting in the Execution
of this my will or any Trust herein contained without his
or their Wilful Neglect or Default respectively or shall be
answerable the one for the other of them or any act deed or default of the other of them ^ and the Executors   ^ for or relating to any such
or Administrators of such Survivor may deduct and retain							 Trust or Trust Moneys or
to themselves all such Monies out of the said Trust Monies							 Securities as aforesaid and
and Securities respectively as he or they shall expend or							 that they my said Executors
lay out in or about the Execution of any Trust hereby								 and the Survivor of them
in him or them reposed or by reason or means thereof
and hereby revoking all other wills by me heretofore
made I declare this only to be  and contain my last
will and Testament In witness whereof I the said Edward
White have hereunto set my hand and Seal the twenty
first day of April in the fourth year of the Reign of his
present Majesty King George the third and in the year
of Our Lord one thousand Seven hundred and Sixty four
and at the same time I executed a Duplicate hereof

Haviland of the Tower

On the twenty fifth day of August in the year of Our
Lord one thousand Seven hundred and Eighty one
Administration with the will annexed of all and Singular
the Goods Chattels and Credits of Edward White late of
Kensington in the County of Middlesex and Storekeeper
of his Majesties Ordnance in the Island of Newfoundland
Esqr deceased was granted to Mary White Widow the Relict
of the said deceased and one of the residuary Legatees
named in the said Will having been first Sworn duly to
administer John Bullock and John Gastrell the Executors
and Residuary Legatees in Trust named in the said Will
dying in the Life time of the said Testator
