In the Name of God Amen
I Mary Sweet Inhabitant of Trinity in Newfoundland being of
a sound and disposing Mind and Memory thanks be to Almighty
God for it do make and ordain this my last will and Testament
in manner and form following First of all I recommend
my Soul to Almighty God through the Merits of Jesus Christ
and my Body to be Buried at the discretion of my Daughter
Ann Sweet Item I Give and Bequeath unto my Daughter
Ann Sweet all the Sum or Sums or Money both Principal
and Interest that is are or may be in the hands of Mr
Thos Clark of Ringwood Hants are that he have put out
to Interest on my Account with whomsoever or wheresoever
may be Item I Give and Bequeath unto my Daughter
Ann Sweet all the Sum or Sums of Money both Principal
and Interest that it are or may be in the hands of Mr Moses
Sleat of PChurch Hants are that he have put out to
Interest on my Acct w?? whomsoever or wheresoever may be
Item I Give unto my Brother John Brock if he should
Survive me the Sum of five Pounds to be paid by my Daur
Ann Sweet if she should have so much in her hands at my
Decease Item I Give unto my Sister Susanna Se???n if she
should survive me the Sum of two Guineas to be paid by
my Daughter Ann Sweet if she should have so much in
her hands at my Decease Lastly I constitute make and
ordain my Daughter Ann Sweet my Sole Executrix of this
my last will and Testament to receive all Rents Debts and
Dues belonging to me for her own use likewise I Give unto
my said Executriss all my Household Furniture and Wearing
Apparel Boats Skifts Fishing Craft and all that belong
to me at any Place or places in Newfoundland or England
Money are any thing else that is mine at my Decease she
paying all my Just Debts and Legacies out of it Item I



Give unto my Son William Sweet the Sum of one Shlling
to be paid him by my aforesaid Executriss at the time of my
Decease and I do hereby utterly Disallow revoke and Disannul
all and every other former Testaments Wills Legacys Bequests
Executors by me made in any ways before named willed and
Bequeathed ratifying and Confirming this and no other to be
my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I have 
hereunto set my hand and Seal this twenty Fifth Day of
October in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred 
and seventy nine  Mary Sweet  MS her Mark  LS  Signed
Sealed and Declared to be (where to stamp paper to be had)
the last Will and Testament in presence of us  John Rolley
Thomas Dampier  Sam Vallis

This Will was proved at London the eighteenth
Day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand seven
hundred and ninety two before the Right honourable
Sir William Wynne Knight Doctor of Laws Master Keeper
or Commissary of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury lawfully
constituted by the Oath of Ann Dampier formerly Sweet
(wife of Thomas Dampier) the Daughter of the Deceased and
the sole Executrix named in the said Will to whom Admon
was granted 
of all and singular the Goods & Chattels & Credits of the said deceased
having been first sworn by Commission duly to
administer
