In the Name of Allmighty God Amen
this twenty third day of June and in the year of our Lord One thousand 
seven hundred and Eighteen and in the Fourth year of the Reigne of our 
Sovereigne Lord George of great Brittaine and Ireland King Defender of the 
Faith I Edward Nicholas of the Parish of the Holy Trinity within the Burrought 
of Sarston in the Couty of Dorsett Gent being in my perfect memory and use
of my understanding do make this to be my last Will and Testament And do hereby
revoke all other Wills by me made and first I do resigne my precious Soul
into the hands of Allmighty God my Creator trusting through the merritts 
of my blessed Saviour Jesus Christ to receive the Free remission and 
pardon for all my Sins and my body I commit to the EArth whence it was 
taken and therein to be decently buried as by the discretion of my Executor 


herein named shall think fitt and as for what worldly Estate and goods 
allmighty God have blessed me with I do hereby give and bequeath as 
followeth Impr I do hereby give and bequeath unto my Kinsman James
Rogers als Ball son of John Rogers als Ball living in the Town of 
Meere in the County of Wilts all that my Freehold Estate of Lands with 
all the Premises thereunto belonging Scituate lying and being within the Parish 
of Sedghill in the County of Wilts and now is in the use and Occupation 
of my Tenant John Collins the abovesaid Estate of Land to my abovesaid 
Kinsman James Rogers als BAll to remain to him and to his Heirs for
ever upon these severall Conditions and considerations herein in this my 
Will mentioned to be by him or his Heirs Executors Administrators or 
Assignes performed as according to this my Will is ordered and appointed 
Item I do give unto Mary Nicholas my Wife that now is two pounds a 
year of Lawfull money of Great Brittain to be paid to her as an  yearly 
Annuity by my Executor or his Assignes for the full time and terme of tenn years
to begin from the time of my decease and so to continue untill the terme of 
tenn years are ended if she remain in this her naturall life so long Provided 
also if she do remaine in the STate of Widdowhood so long untill the
terme of tenn years are expired and ended And also my Will is that she
shall have all her wearing Apparell both of Linnen and Woollen and also
her gold Chain that she now usually wears and also my bed that we now usually 
Lodge upon with all the Appurtenances thereunto belonging with all other 
my Household goods excepting only my Wooden Bedstead Item I do give unto
my Kinswoman Sarah Norton Perwik maker now living in Bakers Alley
near to Holbourn Barrs in London at one Ms Reeves I do give unto her 
eight pounds a year of lawfull money of Great Brittain for the Full terme 
and time of her naturall life to be paid to her by my Executor or his Assignes
at two entire payments by the year as an yearly Annuity for her Life that 
shall arise out of the profitts of the abovesaid Freehold Estate I do also give 
unto the two Daughters of my Kinswoman Sarah Norton tenn pounds apeice 
to each of them of lawfull money of Great Brittain to be paid to each of 
them by my Executor his Heirs or Assignes sometime within twelve months 
after my decease Item I do give unto the Son of my Kinsman John Harrison
bookseller at breadstreet Corner in London which he had by my Kinswoman 
Hannah Pike I do give unto him the Sum of five pounds of Lawfull money
of Great Brittain to be paid unto him by my Executor or his Assignes sometime 
within twelve months after my decease Item I do give to Hannah Pike
daughter of my Kinsman John Pike the sum of tenn pounds of Lawfull
money of Great Brittain to be paid to her by my Executor or his
Assignes if she lives to come to the Age of twenty one years she is now 
living with her ??? that makes Hoods and Scarfs near about farthing 
Ally in Southwark Item I do give  to my Kinsman John Horder living 
in the Citty of Bristow one shilling Item I do give unto the two Children of my
Kinsman John Horder that are now in being and living with their Father 
in the Citty of Bristow I do give to each of them tenn pounds a peice of 
lawfull money of Great Brittain to be paid to each of them when they 
shall come to the age of twenty one years by my Executor his Heirs or 
Assignes Item my Will is and I do hereby order and appoint that y
Executor his Heirs or Assignes shall pay two pounds and tenn shillings a
year for the time and terme of tenn years after my decease to the Minister 
of Gods Holy word that shall be for the time being preacher thereof to
such Protestant Dissenters within the Burrough of Shaston in the County


Dorsett as I have usually Assembled with for the hearing thereof and my Will
is that it shall be paid to him by four equall parts in the year Item I do give 
to my Tenant Thomas Brather of Simbly all my   Wooden Vessells
that he have now in his possession excepting only my bedstead that I give to 
my Wife All the rest of my goods and Chattles not hereby before given I do
give and bequeath unto my abovesaid Kinsman James Rogers als Ball son of John Rogers als Ball in
the town of Meer in the County of Wilts whom I do by this my Will constitute 
and make my Sole Exdecutor to this my last Will and Testament the mark
of Mr Edward Nicholas signed sealed published and declared this to be my 
last Will and Testament Witnesses Cantler Farnell Frances Rutley
