This is the last Will & Testament of me Solomon
Mifflin of the Town & County of Poole Gentleman late a Coal Merchant
which I make as follows (that is to say) I order & direct my just Debts Funeral Expences
& the Charges of the probate hereof to be first paid & discharged by & out of my
personal Estate & Effects hereinafter bequeathed I give & devise unto my Son
Sampson Mifflin of Bonavista in the Island of Newfoundland Merchant
& to my Grandchildren Joseph James Thomas & Edward sons of my said son
Sampson Mifflin & to my Nephews William Steedman Benjamin Steedman and
George Steedman now or late of Warminster in the County of Wilts children of
my Sister Sarah Steedman by Benjamin Steedman her husband John Mifflin son of
my late Brother
John Mifflin of
Warminster aforesd
and Samuel Mifflin
son of my late Brother
Edward Mifflin of Warminster aforesaid & to my Nephew Richard
Watts a Sergeant in the Somerset Militia & to Joseph Randall otherwise Best of
Lytchett Minster in the County of Dorset Farmer John Bennett Blandford of the
Town & County of Poole Accountant George Kemp the Elder James Kemp Martin 
Kemp Welch & George Kemp the younger all of Poole aforesaid Merchants Henry
Kemp of the same place Gentleman Peter Rose of the same place Brushmaker
Joseph Moore the younger of the same place Bookseller James Bristowe of the
same place Merchant John Bristowe of the same place Merchant John Ficker
of the same place Gentleman & Joseph Lawrence Darvall of Basingstoke in the
County of Southampton Esquire all that my Messuage Burgage or Tenement
now in the occupation of Cornelius Hendy lately erected & built on part of the Scite
of a Messuage Burgage or Tenement heretofore commonly called or known by the
name of the Fox Public House situate lying & being in Weymouth & Malcomb
Regin in the County of Dorset in that part of the Town called Weymouth & in a
certain place called the Hope being the Easternmost front House of four houses lately
erected on the Scite of the said public House called the Fox all which said four houses
are bounded on the North by a Messuage Burgage or Tenement heretofore in the
tenure or occupation of Thomas Webb since of Elizabeth Davis & late of Davis
Winzor on the south with a Messuage Burgage or Tenement heretofore in the
occupation of Richard Pitt late of Joseph Roberts & now delapidated a Street or
common High way on the West and on the East a common Highway or Hill
(To hold the same Messuage Burgage or Tenement & premises unto my said son
Sampson Mifflin my said Grandchildren Joseph James Thomas & Edward Mifflin

Mifflin Samuel Mifflin & Richard Watts & the said Joseph Randall otherwise Best
John Bennett Blandford George Kemp the Elder James Kemp Martin Kemp
Welch George Kemp the younger Henry Kemp Peter Rose Joseph Moore the younger
James Bristowe John Bristowe John Fricker & Joseph Lawrence Darvall to be
equally divided between & amongst them share & share alike & to take as Tenants
in common & not as joint Tenants & to their several & respective heirs assigns resolutely
for ever subject nevertheless to a demise granted of the above premises with others
dated the 16th day of January 1789 by one William Moure Esquire to William
Bower for one thousand years I give devise & bequeath unto my Executors
hereinafter named all that my Leasehold Estate situate at or near Portsham
or Abbotsbury in the County of Dorset now in the possession of Mr Hawkins which
I hold for ??? life of Mary Priner widow & also all other my Estate & Effects both Real
& personal & of what other nature or kind soever not hereinbefore otherwise
disposed of Upon trust nevertheless to permit & suffer my dear Wife Jane to
have receive & take the Rents Issues & Profits interest & Dividends of such parts 
as shall consist of money & to have the use & enjoyment of the Residue thereof
for & during her natural life & from & immediately after her decease I give devise
& bequeath all my Estate & Effects not herein otherwise disposed of unto my children
Sampson Mifflin & Jane Mifflin to be equally divided between them share 
& share alike & to take as Tenants in common & not as joint Tenants & to their
several & respective heirs Exors Admors & assigns absolutely for ever and lastly
revoking all former will or wills by me made I do declare this only to be my last
Will & Testament & do appoint my said Wife the said Jane Mifflin my said
son Sampston Mifflin & Thomas Parr of Poole aforesaid Gentleman joint
Executrix & Executors hereof provided always & it is my will and I do further
order & direct that my Executrix & Executors & their respective heirs Exors & admors
shall be charged & chargeable with such sums only as they shall respectively actually
receive by virtue of the trusts hereby reposed in them notwithstanding their joining
in or signing any receipt or receipts or doing any other act for the sake of
conformity & that they or any of them shall not be answerable for any loss or
damage which shall or may happen in the execution of the Trusts aforesaid
or in relation thereto except the same shall happen by or through his her or their
own wilful act neglect or default and in that case each person alone shall be
answerable for such loss or damage as shall arise from his or their own act
neglect or default provided also that it shall & may be lawful for the said Jane
Mifflin Sampson Mifflin & Thomas Parr & their respective Exors & Admors
from time to time by & out of my Estate to retain to & reimburse themselves respectively
& also to all & pay to each other all such Costs charges & Expences as they or any
of them shall pay expend or be put unto in or about the execution of this my will or
the trutss herein contained In witness whereof I the said Solomon Mifflin the Testator
have to this my last Will & Testament contained in three sheets of paper set my
hand & seal (that is to say) to the first two sheets I have subscribed my name & to
this third & last Sheet I have subscribed my name & affixed my Seal the Twenty
seventh day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred & Ten

Proved at London 9th Feb 1815 before the Judge by the oaths of Jane Mifflen owe Mifflin
