This is the last Will and Testament
of me Mary Lodge of Longfleet within the Borough of Poole in
Dorsetshire Widow I give devise and bequeath to my great nephew John
Bristowe Durell All that I shall die possessed of or entitled to In trust
for the purposes hereinafter mentioned that is to say to pay or cause to
be paid to the two granddaughters of my late brother Henry Bristowe
the sum of ten pounds each and to the Reverend Mark Roan??? the
sum of ten pounds and to the servant that shall reside with me at
the time of my death the sum of five pounds out of monies that may
be in my dwellinghouse and all the residue and remainder thereof and
therein to divide it equally between my two nieces Meatible and Emma
Bristowe Spinsters together with all my wearing apparell share and
share alike And I also give to my great niece Emma Matthews of No
2 Kirby Place Bath the sum of ten pounds As to all the rest residue and
remainder of my real and personal estate goods chattels and effects rents and
arrears of rents I give devise and bequeath the same wherever situate to
my great nephew John Bristowe Durell absolutely Appointing him the
said John Bristowe Durell sole Executor to this my last Will and
residuary Legatee after all my just debts funeral and testamentary
expences are fully paid and satisfied And I hereby revoke all former
Wills made by me In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and
seal this fifth day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight
hundred and fifty five  Mary Lodge  LS  Signed sealed and declared
by the above named Mary Lodge as and for her last will and Testament
in the presence of us as witnesses thereto (the testator and Witnesses being
present at the same time) Dav Durell Junr Poole Dorset  John
Barnes Durell of Longfleet in County of Dorset
  In the Prerogative Court of Canterbury
      In the Goods of Mary Lodge Widow deceased
Appeared personally David Durell the younger 
of the Borough of Poole Gentleman and made oath that he is one of 
the subscribed witnesses to the last Will and Testament of Mary Lodge late
of Longfleet within the Borough of Poole in the County of Dorset Widow
deceased hereunto annexed bearing date the fifth day of June one


thousand eight hundred and fifty five And he further made oath that
on the said day of the date thereof the said Deceased duly executed
her said Will by signing her name at the foot or end thereof in
the presence of this Deponent and John Barnes Durell the other sub
scribed witness thereto who thereupon in the presence of the said testa
trix and of each other at the same time subscribed their names as
witnesses attesting the due execution thereof  David Durell Junr
On the fourth day of October 1856 the said David Durell Junr was
duly sworn to the truth of this Affidavit by virtue of the commission
hereto annexed by me  John Barrow Commissioner

Proved at London 7th of Octr 1856 before the Judge by the
oath of John Bristowe Durell the Great Nephew the sole Executor
to whom Admon was granted having been first sworn by Comon
duly to administer
