In the Name of God Amen I William Kittier of Ringwood in the County of Southampton Mercer being weak in Body but of sound and disposing Mind Memory and understanding do make and order this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following Imprimis I give devise and bequeath unto my Nephew Moses Kittier of Ringwood aforesaid Mercer all that my Freehold Estate situate lying and being at Blashford in the parish of Ellingham Ellingham in the said County now in the possession of John Jones he paying thereout yearly the Sum of ten pounds during the Life of such person and in such proportion as I shall hereinafter direct and also all that my Freehold Estate called Barhams in the parish of Ringwood aforesaid now in the possession of Edward Pardy And also all those my two third parts or Shares of a Planatation at Greens pond in a certain Island in America called Newfoundland and is now in the join Occupation of Joseph Hayward and my self and also all that my Plantation at Twilingate in Newfoundland aforesaid now in the joint possession and Occupation of him the said Moses Kittier William Williams and myself with all and every their Appurtenances to have and to hold the said Estate at Blashford Barhams and the said plantations at Greenspond and Twilingate with their and every of their appurtenances unto my said Nephew Moses Kittier his Heirs and assigns for ever subject only to the payment before mentioned Item I give devise and bequeath unto my Nephew William Lake of Ringwood aforesaid all those my Freehold Estates called Pelhams and Marshalls with a plot of Ground lying near Kingston Hills which said plott is now in the possession of Philip Pitt To have and to hold the said Estates and plotts of Ground with their and every of their appurts to him my said Nephew William Lake his Heirs and assigns for ever he paying thereout the Sum of fifty pounds to such person or persons who is are or shall be intitled thereto in such manner as is expressed in certain Marriage articles made between me and my late wife at or before our Marriage and I do hereby charge the said Estate with the payment thereof Item I give devise and bequeath unto my Nephew John Lake all that my Freehold Tenement and Malthouse in Ringwood aforesaid now in the possession of William Warne and all that my Meadow in Godnam Mead being formerly part thereof and now in my own possession to have and to hold the said Messuage Malthouse and Meadows with their and every of their appurtenances unto my said Nephew John Lake his Heirs and assigns for ever Item I give and bequeath unto my two Nieces Mary Clarke wife of Bhanas Clarke and Rebecca lake Spinster Daughter of William Lake the elder of Ringwood aforesaid Tick Maker the Sum of two hundred pounds each to be paid by my Executor hereinafter named within two years after my decease and in case either or both of them my said Nieces shall dye before the same shall become payable then the said Legacy or Legacies of two hundred pounds shall be equally divided between such Sons and Daughters of the said William Lake the elder as shall be then living in equal parts and shares Item I give and bequeath unto the said Thomas Clarke the Sum of fifty pounds to be paid by my Executor hereinafter named within two years next after my decease Item I give and bequeath to John Barnes who is now my Servant the Sum of ten pounds a year during his natural Life free from all Taxes and other outgoings whatsoever to be paid him at four Quarterly payments out of my said Estate at Blashford which I have charged with the same the first payment thereof to begin and to be made the next Quarter Day that shall first happen after my decease Item I give unto William Warne of Ringwood aforesaid Malster the Sum Sum of ten pounds Item I give unto Rebecca Warne Spinster (who now lives with me) the Sum of twenty pounds Item I give to Arthur Baker the Sum of ten pounds which said three Sums of ten pounds twenty pounds and ten pounds I order to be paid within one year next after my decease by my said Executor Item I give to Martha Warne Spinster Sister of the said William Warne the Sum of five pounds to be paid her by my said Executor within one Month after my decease Item I give devise and bequeath unto Mary and Elizabeth Shepard Daughters of Samuel Shepard of Lymington in the said County Gentleman my three Brooks in Newfoundland aforesaid known by the Names of Gander Bay Dog Bay and Ragged Harbour to have and to hold the said Brooks to the said Mary and Elizabeth Shepard their Heirs and assigns for ever equally between them share and share alike as Tenants in Common and not as joint Tenants Item I give and bequeath to the said Samuel Shepard and Elizabeth his wife the Sum of ten pounds a peice Item I give to my Brother William Lake twenty pounds Item I give to Mr John Willis ten Guineas which said last mentioned Sums of ten pounds twenty pounds and then Guineas I direct to be paid by my Executor within one year after my decease Item all the Rest Residue and Remainder of my Goods Chattels and personal Estate whatsoever and wheresoever not herein before given and disposed of after payment of my Debts Legacies and Funeral Expences I give and bequeath unto my said Nephew Moses Kittier his Heirs Executors administrators and assigns for ever And lastly I do appoint my said Nephew Moses Kittier full and whole Executor of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking and making void all former will and wills by me made In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and Seal the fourteenth day Testament the Words the Sum of fifty pounds between the thirteenth and fourteenth Lines being first interlined in the presence of us who in the Testators presence and in the presence of each other have subscribed our Names Peter Slann Thomas Carver Jno Miller This Will was proved at London on the eighteenth day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and sixty five before the Right Worshipful George Hay Doctor of Laws Master Keeper or Commissary of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the oath of Moses Kitter the Nephew of the said Deceased and sole Executor named in the said Will to whom administration of the Goods Chattels and Credits of the said Deceased was granted he having been first sworn by Comon Duly to administer Exd
