In the name of god Amen The xxiii th Daie of September in the yere of oure
Lord god A thousand five hundreth seventie and fower I Roger Jones of the Cittie of Bristowe grocer
being sick in bodie but of good and perfitt memorie I thanke the Lord Doe make my testament &
last will in manner and forme followinge First I bequeath my soule into the hands of Allmightie
god whoe hath created and redeamed me with his most precious bloode whereby I constantlie assure my
selfe to be saved I bequeath my bodie to be buried in the grounde as near my sone Edward Jones
as maie be Item before all things I will my debts to be paid to all men Iten I bequeath to
my sister hegins a black gowne and a hoode Item I give and bequeath to my cozin Doctor Mathew
a gowne Item I give and bequeath to my sone and daughter twoe gownes and to litle besse their daughtr
twentie pounds at hir mariage Item I give and bequeath to my cozin Elizabeth Bennett a gowne and to my
Cozin Buckford and my Cozin Cother twoe gownes Ite I give unto my cozin Sineff a gowne or xls in money
which she will Item I give unto my six servnts in money six pounds to everie one xxs Item I give to
a preacher that will preach at my buriall sixe shillings eight pence Item whereas I have a bonde of my
Lord Staffords of Fowrtie pounds yf I doe receyve and be paid the same that then my cozin Syneff
shall have xx? therof otherwise not Item I give unto the poore x? in money or clothe at y discrecon
of my wief whoe will I knowe do it All the rest of my goods moveable and unmoveable I give and
bequeath to Elizabeth my wief whome I doe ordeine and make my sole executrix to see this my testamet
and last will performed in all things more I give and bequeath to Richard White my cozin fortie shillings
halfe a yere after my decease Also I doe ordeine Richard Moore my sone in lawe to be my overseer of
this my will and testament And I give unto him for his paines fortie shillings per me Roger Jones
