In the name of God Amen
I John Holbrooke of the Citty of Bristoll Goldsmyth being sick in body but perfect in me-
mory doe make this my last Will and Testament in manner and forme following Inpri-
mis I bequeath my soule into the hands of my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ And my
body to the ground to be decently interred in St Nicholas Crowd Item I make my loving
wife Bridgett to be Executrix of this my last Will and Testament Item I appoint my uncle
John Knight Esquire my Cozen Thomas Moore Merchant and my brother in Law Richard
Bubb to be overseers of this my last Will and Testament And I give to each of them a
Mourning Ring of Twelve shillings a peece with this motto  All must follow  Item 
my desire is that Six Goldsmyths should carry mee to the Church I give them Twenty shil-
lings for a dinner Item I appoint Mr Williamson Minister to preach my funerall
Serman And I give him Twenty shillings for his paines therin Item I give unto my
sister Powell to be deducted out of the money her husband Thomas Powell oweth mee
them sume of Tenn pounds to be deducted out of a debt due by bond Item I give and bequeath 
unto my sister Wale my sister Cooke and my sister Sarah each of them a Ringe of Twelve 
shillings a peece Item all the rest of my Estate goods and Chattells (my debts 
and funerall charges being paid I give and bequeath the One Third part therof unto my
said Wife And the other Two Thirds I give and bequeath unto my Foure Children and 
the Survivor or Survivors of them Equally to be devided betweene them To be paid unto
them att their respective age of One and Twenty or Dayes of Mariage which shall first 
happen And further I doe hereby revoke all former Wills In witnes whereof
I the said John Holbrooke unto this my last Will and Testament have put my hand
