In the name of God Amen
the Tenth day of May In the yeare of our Lord One Thousand six hun
-dred and Sixtie I Anne Guy of Sutton in the County of Hereford widowe
Executrix of the last Will and Testament of John Guy of the Cittie of
Bristoll Merchant being perfect and sound in memory butweake in Bodie
thankes be therefore given to the Almighty And knowing the uncertaintie
of this life Doe make this my last Will and testament as followeth And
first and principally I bequeath my Soule to Almightie God my maker
and Redeemer And my Bodie to the Earth from whence it Came hoping by
the meritts death and passion of my Creato?? Jesus Christ to be received
into his kingdome And as for the Worldly Estate that it hath pleased the
Lord to bestowe upon mee I give and bequeath the same as followeth Item
whereas my said husband was possessed of divers Lands and Tenements in
the said City of Bristoll and other plaices adjaicent thereunto amongst which
there was one Lease of a Tenement in Broad Streete within the said Cittie
sometime in the possessio of Edmond Bolfire for a Terme of yeares yet to
Come and unexpired I the said Anne Guy doe devise and bequeath
the same unto my sonne William Guy to have hold and enjoy the same
immediately from and after my decease for and during the rest and residue
of the Terme of yeares therein unexpired and undetermined And alsoe all
other my Goods Cattle Chattells Leases plate jewells houshold stuffe and imple
-ments of houshold whatsoever from and after the decase of mee the said
Anne And I the said Anne Guy doe hereby nominate and appoynte the
said William Guy my sonne to be my sole Executor of this my said last Will
and Testament hereby revoking all former Wills by mee made In Testi
-monie whereof I have hereunto putt my hand and Seale the day and yeare
first above written Ann Guy her marke sealed and published in the presence
of Tho Tokey Robert Bedowes William Bovane marke John Walwyn
