In the Name of God Amen



I Joan Green of the Town and County of Poole Widow being
weak of Body but of sound Mind and Memory (blessed be
God do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament
in manner and form following (that is to say) First I
will that all my just Debts and Funeral Expences be paid
and discharged Also I give unto my Daughter in Law
Martha Green Widow on Gold Ring Also I give and
bequeath unto my Grandson John Green my Silver Coffee
Pott two silver Salvers and my largest silver Tankard Also
I give and bequesth unto my Grandson Young Green my
smallest silver Tankard and one silver Tea Pott Also I
give and bequeath unto my Grand Daughter Elizabeth
Green the remainder of my Plate all my China Ware
and my best House Linnen Also I give and bequeath
unto my Cousin Mary Durell Daughter of my late deceased
Nephew David Durell one silver pint Cup Also I give and
bequeath unto my Cousin Ann Green the Daughter of Chas
Green of ?hettle in the County of Dorset the Sum of ten
pounds of lawfull Money of Great Britain to be paid
unto her by my Executor herein after named within one
Month after my decease Also I give grant and devise
unto my Son Young Green All that my Messuage Farm
and Lands with the Hereditaments and Appurtenances
thereunto belonging scituate lying and being at Cow grove
in the Parish of Winborne Minster in the said County of
Dorset sometime since purchased by me of Thomas
Carlton and now in the Occupation of John Galpin To hold
the same and every part and parcell thereof unto my
said Son Young Green and his Assigns for and during the
Term of his natural Life and from and immediately after
his Decease I give grant and devise the said messuage
Farm and Lands with the Appurtenances unto my said
Grandson John Green his Heirs and Assigns for ever But
my Will is and I do hereby order that the Sum of forty
Shillings shall be paid and payable out of the said Messuage
Farm and Lands yearly and every year from the time of 
my decease untill my said Grandson John Green shall
attain unto the Age of one twenty years unto the Minister
of the Gospel for the time being of the Protestant Dissenting
Congregation who shall officiate at the Meeting House
or place of Worship I now frequent scituate in Poole
aforesaid And I hereby charge the said Messuage
Farm and Lands with the payment thereof during my said
Grandsons Minority and no longer Also I give and devise
unto my said son Young Green All those my Messuages
Tenements or Dwelling Houses with the Gardens Courts
Yards Cellars Outhouses Hereditaments and Appurtenances
thereunto belonging which I purchased of George Lewen
Esquire scituate in and near the High Street in the said
Town and County of Poole and now in the several Occupacons
of myself George Tito and William Downer To hold the same



unto my said son Young Green and his Assigns for and
during the Term of his natural Life and from and after his
decease I give and devise the same and every part
thereof with the Appurtenances unto my Daughter in
Law Susannah Green the Wife of my said son Young
Green for and during her Widowhood and for so long time
and Term only as she shall remain and continue the Widow
of my said Son Young Green and from and immediately
after her decease or Intermarriage which shall first
happen then my Will is and I do hereby give grant and
devise the said last mentioned Messuages Tenements
Dwelling Houses with the Gardens Courts Yards Cellars
Outhouses Hereditaments and Appurtenances thereunto
belonging unto and among all and every the Chidlren of
my said Son Young Green that shall be living at the time
of the decease or Intermarriage of my said Daughter
in Law Susannah Green which shall first happen as aforesd
and to their Heirs and Assigns for ever to be equally divided
between them share and share alike All the rest residue
and remainder of my Goods Chattels Lands Tenements and
all and singular my Effects and Estate whatsoever and
wheresoever both Real and Personal not herein before
given devised or bequeathed I Give Grant and Devise
unto my said Son Young Green his Heirs Executors
Administrators and Assigns for ever And Lastly I do
nominate constitute and Appoing my said son Young Green
sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament and do hereby
revoke all former Wills by me at any time heretofore
made and do ratifye and confirm this to be my last Will
and Testament In Witness whereof I the said Joan Green
have hereunto set my hand and seal the third day of
February in the year of our Lord Christ one thousand seven
hundred and forty one  Joan Green  Signed sealed published
and declared by the said Testatrix to be her last Will and
Testament in the presence of us (the Words not herein
before given devised or bequeathed being first interlined

This Will was proved at London the seventh
Day of February in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven
hundred and forty four before the Right Worshipfull John
Bettesworth Doctor of Laws Master Keeper or Commissary
of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury lawfully constituted
by the Oath of Young Green the Son and sole Executor in the
said Will named to whom Administration was Granted of
all and singular the Goods Chattels and Credits of the said
deceased being first sworn by Commission duly to
administer the same
