In the Name of God Amen
I Richard Edwards of Margaret Street in the Parish of Saint
Mary le bone in the County of Middlesex Esquire Rear
Admiral of his Majestys Navy Do make and ordain this my
last Will and Testament in Writing in manner and form
following (that is to say) I give to my Executors hereinafter
named the Capital Sum of Two Thousand Pounds three per
Cent Bank Annuities reduced Upon the Trusts nevertheless
hereinafter mentioned that is to say In Trust to pay to or
permit and suffer my dear Wife Priscilla Edwards to receive
the Interest Dividends and Proceed thereof for her Life and
after her Decease In Trust to pay to or transfer the same
sum of Two Thousand Pounds three per Cent Annuities unto
my Grandson George Richard Marton at his Age of twenty
one years and in the mean time to pay and apply the
Interest and Dividends thereof for his support maintenance
and Education And in case the said George Richard Marton
shall die before his said Age of Twenty one years Then
In Trust to pay to or transfer the same Captial Sum of Two
Thousand Pounds Annuities unto my Grandson Oliver Marton
at his Age of Twenty one years And in the mean time to
apply the Interest and Dividends thereof for his support
Maintenance and Education And in case my said Grandson



Oliver Marton shall die before his Age of twenty one years
Then in Trust to pay or transfer the said Two Thousand
Pounds three per Cent Annuities in manner following (that
is to say) Five hundred Pounds part thereof unto my Niece
the eldest Daughter of the Reverend Edward Lund of Lewes
in the County of Sussex Clerk and One Thousand five hundred
Pounds the Residue thereof unto and amongst the four
younger Daughters of the said Edward Lund equally between
them share and share alike And from and after Payment of my
???? Debts and Funeral Expences I do hereby give and bequeath
all the Rest and Residue of my real and Personal Estate
Goods Chattels and Effects whatsoever and wheresoever unto my
said Wife Priscilla Edwards her heirs Executors Administrators
and Assigns to and for her and their own use absolutely And
I do hereby constitute and appoint my Son in Law the Revd
Oliver Marton John Eames Esquire one of the Masters of the 
Court of Chancery Arthur Stert of John Street Bedford Row
the Reverend Doctor William Baker of the Parish of Saint George
Hanover Square and Oliver Stevens of Dorset Court Westminster
Esquire Executors of this my last Will and Testament And I do
hereby revoke and make void all former Will and Wills by 
me at any time heretofore made and do declare this alone to be
my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I have hereto
set my hand and Seal the third day of December in the year
of our Lord One Thousand seven hundred and seventy one  Rd
Edwards LS Signed sealed published and declared by the said
Testator Richard Edwards as and for his last will and Testament
in the presence of us who in his presence have herto set our
Names as Witnesses thereunto  Peter Prevost  Serle Street  James
Herbert  Josi Larhe  Clerks to Mr Prevost

This Will was proved at London the twentieth
day of September in the year of our Lord One Thousand seven
hundred and seventy three before the Right Worshipful George
Hay Doctor of Laws Master Keeper or Commissary of the
Prerogative Court of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the Oaths
of the Reverend Oliver Marton Clerk John Eannes Esquire Arthur
Stert Esquire and the Reverend John Baker Doctor in Divinity by
mistake in the said Will called William Baker four of the 
Executors named in the said Will to whom Administration was
granted of all and singular the Goods Chattels and Credits of
the deceased having been first sworn duly to administer that
is to say the said Oliver Martin and John Eames before 
the Worshipful Andrew Coltee Ducarel the said Arthur Stert
before the Worshipful Francis Simpson and the said John
Baker before the Worshipful Thomas Bever respectively
Doctors of Laws and Surrogates of the said Commissary Power reserved of making the
like Grant to Oliver Stevens Esquire the other Executor named
in the said Will when he shall apply for the same
