In the name of God Amen The Thirteenth
Day of Aprill in the Seaventh yeare of the raigne of our Soveraigne Lord Charles by the
grace of God of England Scotland France and Ireland king Defender of the faith &c
Anno Dni one thousand six hundred thirtie one I John Dolling of West Linch within the
parish of Corffe Castell in the Isle of Purbecke and Countie of Dorst Marriner being sicke of
bodie but of perfect memorie laud and prayse bee given to Allmightie God for the same
(Revoking all former Wills and Testaments by mee made Doe make and ordayne this my last Will
and Testament in manner and forme following First and principally I give and yield upp my soule
into the hands of allmightie God my Maker and Redeemer And my bodie I Committ to the Earth
from whence it Came to bee buried at the discrecon of myne Executor hereunder named Item I
give and bequeath unto the Church of Swannedge a Cloth for the Communion table to the value
of Thirtie shillings And to the poore of Swannedge aforesaid I give twentie shillings Item I
give unto the Church of Corffe Castell a comely Quishion for the pulpitt of the price of value
of twentie shillings In which Cloth and Quishion I desire may bee sett in some Convenient partes
of them my name or two faire letters vizt J and D as for my name Item I give and bequeath to the
poore of Corffe Castell twentie shillings Item I give and bequeath unto Frances Dolling my
Mother During the tyme of her life fifty shillings of lawfull English money as an Annuity to bee
paid her yearely out of my Tenement of Burshew now in the occupacon of JOhn Gover To bee
holden and enioyed by her as aforesaid if the three Daughters of Robert Tooper of Burshew aforesaid
by whome I hold my estate therein shall live soe long or any or either of them shall live soe long
Item I give unto Anthony Dolling my brother Alexander Dollings sonne the Remaynder of one
yeares Rent issuing out of my said Tenement at Burshew aforesaid before and above the fiftie
shillings to bee paid my Mother To bee paid unto him the next yeare after my decease And the
money to bee put to the best use and benefitt for him untill hee shall accomplish the age of one and
twentie yeares Item I give and bequeath unto Frances Dolling my sister During the naturall lives
of the three Daughters of Robert Toope aforesaid or the longest liver of them five pounds of lawfull
English money as an Annuitie to bee paid her yearly out of my said Tenement at Burshew
aforesaid payable unto her after the end of one yeare after my decease upon this Condicon
neverthelesse that shee mayntayne and keepe in sufficient reparacons the houses of the said tenemt 
Item I give and bequeath unto my sister Margarett Dolling During the naturall lives of the three
Daughters of the said Robert Toope or the longest liver of them Three pounds of lawfull English
money as an Annuity to bee payd her yearely out of my said Tenement at Burshew payable
unto her after the end of one yeare after my decease Item I give and bequeath unto my said
sisters Margarett and Frances all my houshold stuffe in my dwelling house at West Linch 
aforesaid and likewise all my houshould stuff at Corffe Castell aforesaid except part of one
bed which is my Mothers to bee equally divided betwixt them upon this Condicon neverthelesse
that they allow the said Frances Dolling my mother the use of one paire of my second best sheets
one paire of my worst sheetes and one new Coverlett Item I give and bequeath unto my brother



Alexander Dollings foure Children Mabell Edith Judith and Margery six pounds apeece item wheras
my brother Anthony Dolling gave unto my Childe Tenne pounds if the same bee due unto mee I
hereby give and bequeath the same unto my Nephew Anthony Dolling sonne of my said brother
Allexander Dolling And I doe also give unto him five pounds more of lawfull English money soe
making his legacy fifteene pounds to bee paid unto him att his accomplishment of one and twentie
yeares together with the yearly profitts therof Item I further give and bequeath unto Frances
Dolling my Mother five pounds of lawfull English money Item I give and bequeath unto Thomas
Virge his foure Children twenty shillings apeece Item I give and bequeath unto Vry Pushman
Widdow twenty shillings Item I give and bequeath unto Thomas Pushmans Children five shilings
apeece And to Thomas Pushman himself one suite of Clothes which sometyme were his brother
William Pushmans wedding Clothes Item I give and bequeath to Anstice Virge the wife of ye
said Thomas Virge five pounds upon this Condicon neverthelesse that hee the said Thomas Virge
provide and lay within one moneth after my decease a stone upon mee worth fortie shillings Item I
give and bequeath unto Elizabeth Chapman five shillings Item I give and bequeath unto Alice Kempt
five shillings Item I give and bequeath to Judith Weare twentie shillings Item I give and bequeath
unto my sister in law Honor Turner a ring of the valew of five and twentie shillings upon this Condicon
neverthelesse that shee give and deliver unto Mabell Dolling my said brother Alexanders daughter that
ring which was sometymes my first wives Item I give and bequeath unto my sister in law Agnes
Collins thirty shillings Item I give and bequeath unto Robert Cotterell and Thomas Hayward to
either of them one suite of my seaclothes And to Robert Harding of Wolgarston and Edward Rose
of Corffe Castell aforesaid to each of them also a suit of my sea Clothes Item my will is and I doe
hereby appoynt that all the legacies before by mee given and bequeathed bee payd within six moneths
after my decease except the legacie which shall be due unto my brother Alexanders sonne which is to
bee paid unto him att his accomplishment of one and twenty yeares as abovesaid  sufficient discharges
being severally given to myne Executor Item all the rest of my goods Cattell Chattells and Creditts
whatsoever moveable and unmoveable not before given nore bequeathed my debts and legacies payd
and my funeralls Discharged I give and bequeath unto my brother Alexander Dolling whome I
make and ordayne my whole and sole Executor Item I doe entreate my very good friends Mr
Gervase Russell Clarke and Edward Hancocke Mariner to bee the Overseers of this my last will
and Testament to see the same performed and fulfilled and according to my true intent and good meaning
And for their paynes therin to bee taken I give and bequeath unto them tenne shillings apeece In
wittnes whereof I the said John Dolling have hereunto sett my hand and seale the day and yeare
above said in the presence of those whose names are underwritten Signed John Dolling Sealed
and published as his last Will and Testament in the presence of Gervase Russell Edward
Barefoote  memorand the the words Francys and Margarett were enterlyned before then sealing
publicacon herof in ye pnce of the wittnesses aforesd
