In the name of god amen The eightenth of September one thowsannde 
fyve hundred eightie twoe I Thomas Chester of Bristowe Alderman being in perfect minde & memory
doe make this my last will and testament in manner and fourme followinge First I committe mee to
got and to his mercye beleeveinge wthout any doubte or mistruste that by his grace and by the meritts
of Jesus Christ and by the vertue of his passion and of his resurrection I have and shall have remission
of my synnes and resurrection of bodye and soule according to his promyse I beleeve that my Redemer
lyveth and that in the last daye I shall ryse oute of the earthe and in my fleshe shall set my Savior
this my hope ys layde upp in y bosome And as touching the welthe of my soule the faith that I
have taken and rehearsed is sufficient wthout any other meanes workes my grounde and beleif is that
there is but one god and one mediator betweene god and man wch is Jesue Christ my bodye to bee
buried at the discression of my Overseers Item I gyve unto Katherine my wife twoe hundred markes
in money to be paide unto her in twoe yeares next after my deceasse and my best bason and ewer of silver
and guilt, one dosen of my best silver spoones with thappostells heads, my Salt with the alablaster in him
which is well wrought and guilt, and my three Tankerdes of silver, a goblett all guilt wayinge
and one other goblett percell guilt and my castinge bottle all guilt Also I give unto her during her
lyfe One hundred poundes a yere in money to be paide unto her quarterlye after fyve and twentye
poundes a quarter and for lacke of payment of the saide one hundred poundes or any parte thereof
in forme aforesaide then she to distraine uppon all my landes for the same and my heare to forfeyte
fyve poundes at or any tyme she is not paide wthin Fiftene daies after everie quarter Also I give
her my house I well in during her widowes estate wthall the ymplements thereunto belonginge
and the best fetherbed the second fetherbed and twoe other featherbeds with twoe flocke bedds and
the one halfe of my Lynnen and my best clothe Carpett bought of my late brother Domynick And
halfe my pewter and brasse All this I give her francklye with all my harte and she to have the use of
all my standing beddes table boards draperie and all other necessaries in the howse As also the use of fower
peeces of arras hanging in the Parlor All wch she to have the use of during her widowes estate and to noe
other intent I knowe her to be of a good nature therefore lett her have yt quietlye as my mynde and will is
Item I give unto my daughter Anne Fowre hundred poundes in money to be paide her wthin twoe yeares
next after my deceasse Also I give her my litle bason and ewer of silvr bought last of Edward Chester
and one of my best Boslls of silver and well guilt with the Cover wch I bought in London the neaste
together Also I give her my leasse of the Downe with the Lease of the teathing to the same howse 
belonging which lease of the downe I houlde of Sr Raphe Sadler and the teathing I bought nowe of
late of Mr Revell Also I give her my best Ringe with a greene stone bought of Mr Thorne Item I give
unto Alice Chester my brother Dominicks daughter one hundred markes in money to be paide unto her outt
of my Farme at Almondesburye after Fourtye poundes a yeare untill the saide Some be fullye paide and
to begynne ymmediatlie after my decease Item I give unto Marye Chester my brother Dominickes


daughter one hundred markes in money Also I give to Anne Chester my brother Dominickes daughter
one hundred markes in money bothe to be paide consequently out of my saide Farme of Almondesburye after
Fourtye poundes a yeare yearely untill the saide Sommes be fullye paide Item I give unto Edwarde Chester
my brother Dominickes sonne Fourty poundes in money to be paide unto him out of my saide Farme of Almon-
desburye condicionally he payeth to my exequator sixtene poundes which he oweth me Also I give unto Giles

of Almondesburie Also I give unto Arthure Chester my brother Dominickes sonne Twentye poundes in money
to be paide unto him oute of my saide Farme of Almondesburie Item I gve unto Thomas Chester that
didd dwell with Robert Prince Tenne poundes in money I saie my brother William his sonne to bee
payde unto him oute of my saide Farme of Almondesburye Item I give unto Marye Chester my
brother Williams daughter Tenne poundes in money to her owne use and not to her husband to bee
paide unto her oute of my saide Farme Item I give to Elizabeth Chester my brother Williams
daughter fyve poundes and not to her husbande but to her owne use oute of the saide Farme Item 
I give to James Chester my godsonne Edwarde Chesters sonne Tenne poundes to be paide unto him
at one and twentye yeares of age out of the saide Farme Item I give unto my Cosen Edwarde
Chesters daughter Marye Tenne poundes to be paide her when she come to the age of eightene

gyve unto one hundred poore houshoulders twoe shillinges a peece to such of as my Overseers
thincketh most meete Item I give to poore in St James PARrishe fyve poundes and the poore in
St Jones PARishe twoe poundes and the poore in Ratcliff Tempell    and St Thomas PARish fyve
poundes Item I give to John Davyes Twenty shillinges yerely during his lyfe Item I give to
