In the name of God Amen The
The seaventh day of May in the yeare of our Lord Gord one Thousand six hun
dred sixty and six I Mathew Buck of Winterbourne in the County of Glouc
esquire being sick and weake in body but of sound and perfecte mynd and memo
ry thankes be given to Almighty God doe here make this my last will and testa
ment in manner and forme following First I render my soule into the hands that ^ of God
gave it And my body ?? the earth to be buried in Christian Buriall And my
worldly estate I distribute as followeth Imprimis     I doe give and be-
queath unto John Danntesey Doctor of P??sick the somme of fifty pounds of 
lawfull money of England Item I doe give and bequeath unto Richard Mill-
thap of Bristoll Apothecary the somme of six and twenty pounds of like
money Item I doe give and bequeath unto James Morgan of Bristoll Taylor
the summe of Twelve pounds and five shillings of like money Item I doe
give and bequeath unto William Denton of London Taylor the somme of sea-
ven pounds and five shillings of like money Item I doe give and bequeath unto
James Gibbons of Almondsbury in the County of Glouc the summer of fiftie
shillings of like money Item I doe give unto Grace Witherley Two shillings &
six pence And unto Roger Ilsbury one shilling All and singular which said sommes
of money above menconed I doe owe unto the severall persons above named And
doe desire my executor hereinafter named to pay and discharge the same next after
my funerall expences out of the first moneres which hee shall receive of mine Item
I doe give unto Ursula Witherley spinster the summer of Twenty shillings to be paid
unto her in like manner as above menconed Item I doe advise and appointe
my executor to expend and lay out Twenty pounds to and for my funerall charges
in such manner as hee in his discrecon shall thinke meete Item I doe give and
bequeath unto Captaine William Chester of Almonds??????????? of five
pounds And I doe give and bequeath unto the poore of the parish of Winter-
bourne the somme of six pounds to be paid by my executor to the Church
Wardens there for the tyme being to bee distributed amongst the said poore
And I doe hereby ordeine nominated and appointe the aforesaid John Danntesey
sole and whole executor of this my last will and Testament Annulling here
by all other and former wills and Testaments whatsoever ?????????????????
and confirming that this present writeing conteyned in one single sheete of
paper to be my last will and Testament In witnes whereof I have hereunto
put my hand and seale the day and yeare first above written Mathew
Buck signed sealed and published in the presence of ??????? Giles ????orton

Probatum fuit Teastamentum [this paragraph continues in Latin and grants probate
on 12 March 1668]
