This is the last Will and Testament
of me Samuel Bowles of the Town and County of Poole Gentleman
written with my own Hand and made and Published this Seventeenth
day of May in the year of our Lord Christ one thousand seven
hundred and forty Six hereby revoking all former Wills by me
made first I will that all my just Debts and Funeral Expences
be Paid and discharged out of my real and Personal Estate at the
Discretion of my Executrix hereinafter named also I give and devise
unto my loving Wife Mary Bowles all that my Estate Farm and
Lands with the Hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto
belonging Situate lying and being in the Parish of Hasslebury
Bryan in the County of Dorset which I sometime since Purchased
of Joan Muston and others now in my own Possession To hold
unto my said Wife for and during the Term of her natural
Life without Impeachment of or for any manner of Wast and
from and immediately after her decease I give and devise the
said Farm and Lands with the Hereditaments and appurtenances
thereto belonging unto such Child or Children by me lawfully
begotten as shall be living at the time of my Decease or en
Ventre Samere who shall be after born alive and if more than one
Child to all such Children lawfully begotten as aforesaid and to
their Heirs and assigns forever To hold the said Estate Farm and
Lands with the Appurtenances unto my said Children their Heirs
and assigns as Tenants in Common and not as Joint Tenants and
if I shall leave but one Child lawfully begotten or En Ventre
Samere who shall be after born alive then I give and devise
the said Estate Farm and Lands with the appurtenances unto such
only Child and his or her Heirs and assigns forever But in
Case I shall leave no Issue by me lawfully begotten or En Ventre
Samere as aforesaid Then my Will is and I do hereby give and
devise the said Estate Farm and Lands hereinbefore mentioned
with the Hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging
to my loving Wife Mary Bowles and to her Heirs and assigns
To hold unto my said Wife her Heirs and Assigns forever Subject
and Chargeable nevertheless to and with the Payment of the
Sum of four hundred Pounds of lawful Money of Great Britain
which I hereby give and bequeath unto my Nephews Samuel
Bowles and John Bowles Sons of my late Brother William Bowles
deceased that is to Say to my said Nephew Samuel Bowles the Sum



Two hundred Pounds Part of the said Sum of four hundred Pounds
and the like Sume of Two hundred Pounds residue thereof unto my
said Nephew John Bowles to be Paid to them respectively within
Twelve Months after the Decease of my said Wife out of the said Estate
Farm and Lands hereinbefore mentioned and I do hereby Charge
the same with the Payment thereof and in Case either or both 
of my said Nephews Samuel Bowles and John Bowles shall happen
to dye before my said Wife Then the Part Legacy and share of such
or both of them so dying as aforesaid shall go and be Paid unto
or to the use of all any or either of the Children of my Brothers
and Sisters by such shares and in such manner and proportion as she
my said Wife by her last Will and Testament in Writing or otherwise
shall think fit to give and dispose of the same also I give and bequeath
unto my said loving Wife Mary Bowles her Executors Administrators
and assigns all and Singular my Goods Chattels Money and all other
my Personal Estate whatsoever and wheresoever to be disposed of in
such manner as she shall think fit and Lastly I do hereby nominate
Constitute and appoint my said Wife Mary Bowles Sole Executrix of
this my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I the said Samuel
Bowles have hereunto Set my Hand and Seal the day and year first
above Written S Bowles  Signed Sealed Published and declared
by the said Samuel Bowles as and for his last Will and Testament
in Presence of us who in the presence of each other have hereunto
subscribed our names as Witnesses  John Leer  Amy Daman  Stephen
Stagg  W Daman

On the fourth day of April in the Year of our Lord one thousand
Seven hundred and fifty one Administration with the Will annexed
of all and Singular the Goods Chattels and Credits of Samuel Bowles
late of the Town and County of Poole deceased was granted to
Margaret Bowles Widow the Relict of the said Deceased being first
Sworn by Commission duly to administer Mary Bowles the Wife
Sole Executrix and residuary Legatee dying in the Lifetime of
the Testator
