In the Name of God Amen
I John Bird of the Town and County of Poole
Shopkeeper being in good health of Body & of 
sound and disposing mind and memory thanks
be to almighty God for it do make this my
last Will and Testament in manner following
whereas I am possessed of the remainder of a
term of nine hundred and ninety nine years of
and in all that Mansion house with the Shop
Cellar Backside Garden and appurtenances thereunto
belonging situate in the Town and County of
Poole aforesaid in High Street three and now
in my own possession and also of and in one
other Messuage or Tenement now in the 
possession of Mr Plumb with the appurtenances
thereunto belonging adjoining to my before mentioned
Mansion House I give devise and bequeath the
same unto my loving Wife Sarah Bird for and
during so many years of the said Term as shall
run out in her life time and at her decease
I give the Mantion House with the Shop
Cellar Backside and garden with the Premises
belonging thereunto unto my Son John Bird for
and during so many years of the said term as
shall run out in his life time and the other
Tenament now in the possession of Mr Plumb I
give and bequeath to my Daughter Sarah
Bird with the appurtenances thereunto belonging
with one half of the Garden use of the back
side and the Pumps for as many years as
shall run out in her life time all the
remainder of my real and personal Estate I
give and bequeath to my loving Wife whom



I make sole Executrix of this my last Will
and Testament revoking all former Wills made
by me and declare this to be my last will and
Testament In Witness whereof I have set my
hand and Seal the fourteenth day of February
one thousand seven hundred and ninety seven and
in the presence of us  John Bird  Richard Linthorne Senr
William Roundall  Richard Linthorne Junr

This Will was proved at London on
the thirty first day of July in the year of
our Lord one thousand eight hundred and
seven before the Right honorable Sir William
Wynne Knight Doctor of Laws Master Keeper or
Commissary of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury
lawfully constituted by the Oath of Sarah
Bird Widow the Relict and the sole Executrix
named in the said Will to whom administration
was granted of all and singular the Goods Chattels
and Credits of the said deceased having been first
sworn  by Commission duly to administer


On 18th November 1815
Admon with the Will annexed
of the Goods Chattels and
Credits of John Bird late
of the Town and County of Poole 
deced left unadministered
by Sarah Bird Widow deced
whilst living the Relict sole
Executrix and Resy Legatee
was granted to John Bird
the Son the Admor of the
Goods of the said Sarah Bird
deced being first sworn by
Comon duly to adminr The said
Extrix died Intestate
